We are going for 9 days starting Sept 23/04 & now it seems like I have so much to try & plan that I can't get a handle on it. (I thought I had things under control!) I was wondering if I should plan to take just a fanny pack or a back pack? I wanted to take a back pack to hold things like the camera, water bottles, snack etc.
However, a friend says that most rides will not let me take a back pack on the rides anyway. I'm trying to save on expenses by bringing in snacks etc., but if I end up having to put everthing in a locker, is it worth it at all? Please help with advice!

I bring my backpack every time I go to Disney. I've never been told I cannot bring it on a ride. As long as you can store it at your feet, it should be fine.

At Islands of Adventure I've had to put it in a locker for some of the rides (Dueling Dragons, Hulk, Jurassic Park), but they provide free lockers at the ride exits. (The free lockers were only good for one or two hours, if you didn't get your stuff out before then you had to pay).
