Theme Park View Hotel Rooms?

I'm hoping I can find some opinions from people who have experience in the MK hotels. We always stay at Bay Lake Tower, theme park view, but in a future trip we are considering staying at the Grand Floridian. For anyone who has stayed in both, how do the views compare? Can you see the fireworks from GF rooms? And is it a good angle?

In a few months we're staying at the Grand Floridian in RPC with a TPV room so I'm curious about this as well. Never stayed at BLT or CR but that's on my bucket list next year.

BLT is a beautiful place to stay - the theme park views are excellent, but are clearly built with that in mind. I highly doubt they built GF with that specific thought process, so I'm curious what their TPV rooms are really like.

Just by location a lone I would have to say CR/BLT has the advantage over any other resort for TPV. We stayed CR TPV in 2014 and it was absolutely stunning! I felt like the fireworks were going off right over my head Bc they were just that close and it was a picture perfect view of Space Mountain AND Cinderellas Castle. That being said we stayed GF last year (not TPV) but did take a walk around the grounds and I just don't see how their TPV rooms can even come close to CR/BLT rooms. I am sure u can still see the fireworks and I am sure u will probably get a view of either space mountain or Cinderellas castle (maybe even both) but I honestly don't think it will be as good as view as CR/BLT

If you're staying at the GF in a TPV room then you'll be able to see the fireworks. I wouldn't call it a good angle though - The fireworks appear to come from much further to the left then they do from the right when viewing from the Contemporary.

Also the audio is not piped in on the TVs like it is at the Contemporary so it'll be a silent display.

Thank you! Epcot resorts for that particular trip are looking better and better.

Yes, you can see the fireworks from a GF TPV room. The angle is just as good as the angle from the CR, IMO, but from the other side so the fireworks look like that are on the opposite side of the castle from that of the CR. You will like the view across the water to the fireworks. It isn't as panoramic a view as the CR, but it also doesn't have a parking lot below. there are nice features to both. Also, if you are staying in the GF it is an easy walk to the Poly beach where the view is nearly direct across the water to the castle.

The GF is a spectacular place to stay. IF you like the MK area it is definitely an excellent choice. I do not think that you would be disappointed.
