Theme Park Tickets Rewards From Visa

Just returned from Beach Club Resort, met a lady from Toronto who mentioned that she received Park Hopper tickets from her Visa Card. Does anyone know of this rewards program. Thanks!

Seems like you could use the rewards dollars from the new Disney Visa card to purchase park tickets - or hotel rooms or anything else at the parks. Perhaps that is what she did. You only earn 1% cash back so you can do the math on how much you have to spend to earn enough to get one park hopper ticket! Still....it is better than nothing. We just remodeled some of our house and by putting as much as we could on the Visa got $120 to spend on our last vacation. We probably spent that in about 20 minutes....

It sounds good but as other people said its not like the disney club benefits so I am still holding off on getting one. I can also use my hilton points to get park hoppers. So hmm if you use the disney visa at hilton you can get hilton points and visa rewards too so that seems like a better deal if I consider it.

Yeah, you don't earn rewards very fast, but, at least currently, there is no annual fee. Luckily DH travels for work, so all charges get put on that card. It's nice to think about what payback I get for putting up with his travelling all the time. We estimate by the time we go again, we will be able to get our hotel mostly "free"

My First USA Visa Card has a program where you can earn points for restaurants (Olive Garden, Red Lobster) Borders Books, Spiegel, Sharper Image, etc. They just recently added the ability to buy Park Hoppers to WDW or DL. Perhaps this is what the OP was referring to.

I have cashed in for $60 disney reward dollars for next trip in December and I also have $70 that I have not cashed in yet and am waiting until closer to trip because I heard they are changing to a gift card type instead of the paper certificates. we use our card for every thing so we accrue fast..we pay off entirely each month and get disney $$ in the process! Love it! Makes up for losing the Am Ex rewards.

Our local bank has a rewards program where you earn one point for every dollar you spend when you use your ATM card as a credit card. I just redeemed 25,000 points (this took a couple of years to earn) for a five day park hopper plus!!!
