O.K. fashion might be a stretch but what do you wear to the parks? Originally since we were going in August I thought I'd wear sundresses every day - comfortable but cute... but I realized my typical sandals and flip flops aren't going to cut it for a day of touring. Anyone have cute shoes that are comfy and work with sundresses that they've worn to Disney? I thought of maybe some converse or keds but maybe instead I should just forget the dresses and wear capris or shorts. Now yes I know this is a small problem in the grand scheme of life ;) but I know there have to be other women who want to look cute while they tour :)

I tend to wear mostly dresses and skirts in warm weather, so they are pretty much all I wear at WDW. I have terrible knees from years of ballet so even shoes like Keds make my knees ache at the end of the day. Honestly, the best shoes I've found for prolonged standing and walking are FitFlops. They're a little pricey but I would keep buying them even if they were $200 a pair because they help me SO much. There are some cute styles too!

I'd wear these with a light sundress!

How about some cuter Merrels? I wore black, strappy ones during my last few summer trips. They aren't as cute as the type of shoe I'd typically wear with a sundress, but comfort is a huge consideration in WDW. Mine were similar to these:

I like sundresses and wear them at home, but I don't wear them at WDW- too much climbing in and out of rides.

We are going on our first Disney Cruise in February of 2011 and I was looking for a sandal to wear. I am a sock on Nike shoe's wearing person. So I may try the fitflops to see how they feel. I have awhile before we leave so I may get a pair to try.

I wore sundresses everyday on our trip last August-- I wore my Reef flip flops. They were super supportive and looked (relatively) cute. I recently bought a pair of Malindi Crocs-- the ballet flat style-- and have worn them at home with a sundress. They look cute and they're even more comfortable than the Reef's.

I don't do hot too well, so when I'm going to the parks, I dress as comfortably as possible. For me, that's shorts and a tshirt or little top of some sort. My hair is usually in a pony tail. Oh, and at Disney World (or any amusement park) I wear Crocs. I'm always the only one whose feet aren't killing them at the end of the day.

I wore skirts for our trip earlier this month. I wore a couple of different pairs of Crocs flats (Lady, Malindi), Crocs sandals (Cleo), and Crocs flip flops.

"Cute" isn't even in my vocabulary on a good day, let alone in the Florida heat and humidity. :lmao:

Nike made a specific sandal 10 years ago. I WISH I bought every pair in my size. I broke the strap and now that style doesn't exist. I wore them every day for three of my WDW trips.

I'd look into Nike Sandals.

I swear by my Reef flipflops. I can wear them all day in a theme park. I really hate sneakers/socks so that's about all I wear.

Why is it that I can't stand that FitFlops have their name all over their shoes? It is on there IN GIANT LETTERS, right on top.

Maybe I don't like people knowing or thinking that I would wear them for the "fit" reason. I would wear them, but only because so many people here swear by them for comfort.

We go in January so it's usually shorts/t-shirt during the day, then change to jeans and either a t-shirt/light jacket or a sweatshirt at night if it's chilly.

I wear my New Balance 800's and my feet are good all day.

In Aug light color clothing. I wear khaki shorts & white tops everyday now. Birkenstock sandals work best for me in the parks. We have lightweight jackets from the gap that zip into a small sq that we put in our backpack in case it is cold on the bus.

My standard Disney shoes are tevas and crocs. I'm bringing fit flops for the first time on our upcoming trip. If you get a flattering style, any of those could be OK with a sundress. Crocs have a flip-flop shoe.

While I don't wear anything fancy to the parks, t-shirt/tank top and shorts/jeans, I would recommend NOT wearing sandals. Some people have good things to say about them, others have horror stories. I've worn sandals a couple of times and been rather miserable.

If you're going to stick with sandals (hey, I understand, they're more fashionable then sneakers!), I'd start shopping now. I'd buy a pair that you think will work and wear them frequently- to break them in, get used to them, really decide if they'll be good for your trip.

Good luck!!

Well I wear sundresses or skirts but usually at night! During the day I wear cute tanks with cute sneaker flatts! You can get them at payless! They are really comfy and cute to wear with any clothes! For warning star wearing them b4 your trip and break them in! At night I at times where sandals or flipflops bc its usually after dinner and of course your dressed cute! But another suggestion if find strap sandles so they dont fall off! You'll be fine with whatever you do!

The last thing I am worried about when at Disney is "how cute do I look?". I am mostly concerned with how comfortable I will be. So, fo rme, that is shorts when it's warm/hot, jeans when it's cool. Short sleeve t-shirts or tanks in the summer, my hoodie when it's cold. On my feet, crocs or croc flip-flops in the warm, crocs with socks in the cold.

My hair is either tucked behind my ears or covered with a do-rag. In the cold, I may pull on a knit cap.

The Ugg Layback is the most comfortable sandal I've ever worn.

What she said...

However, since we are going in August this year and I know it's going to be 300 degrees, I had thought about sandals (maybe some Tevas). I'm still taking my old faithful New Balance, just in case that plan just doesn't work out for me!
