Theme Ideas for Albums

I usually just scrap albums by event (trips, dances, chronologically..) but I would like to start doing some theme albums. I am considering doing a Book Of Me and maybe an album of just me and my boyfriend. Does anyone have any ideas for these or any other themes? Also, what generally goes in the Book Of Me?

Hmm, here are the different albums I have done:

Baby album, DS 0-12 months
General album of DS and us from 1 to about 4.
General album of us and DS from 4-current
School ablum for DS
Vacation Album
Disney album
Wedding album

I usually put all holidays and regular events in the general albums. I think one of you and your boyfriend is a great idea. I did that once with my ex. I'd kept all the flowers he gave me and dried tehm in a book and put them in there, along with movie ticket stubs, etc.

For a book about you, you can do all different themed layouts. One can be your favorite color, sports team, hobby, extracurricular activity, etc. One can be of you and y our best friend, you and your boyfriend, you and your family, etc. Oh and judging by your name, I'd do one of soccer. You can do whatever you want that you like and is special to you.

I do lots of different kinds of albums..........

I have a family book
a book for DD (9)
a book for DD (5)
holiday book
weight loss book
Dancing book
and I make lots of little books that are usually themed such as Christmas portraits or whatever.

Look on 2ps for ideas of Book Of Me layouts. I wanted to do a book on me, but I have a really hard time scrapping about myself and journalling my thoughts, so I gave up after one layout. There are lots of great ideas for Book Of Me layouts.

My favorite album I did was for my husband. I took different pictures that sort of went with out favorite songs. I had a picture on one page and lyrics to the song on the coordinating page. I burned a cd of the songs and made a pocket in the front cover for it. He loved it and we enjoy looking at it and listening to the cd.

My favorite albumns are the Birthday albumn's I have done for my girls. I start it out with a formal picture (Sears portrait picture) and then the friends party and relative party. It is great fun to see how they change over the years, and the party themes make for some interesting pages!

And it is a great because I only have to update it once a year - even I can get that done!

Last year for christmas MIL gave me a 12x12 scrapbook with our names engraved on the front. I don't like working with 12x12, and I have already decided that the only things I am attempting to scrap right now are vacations. Not everyday life stuff. The book is burgunday and velevet and does not really have the look of what I would want for a vacation album if you know what I mean. Well, we decided that we were going to use it strictly as a christmas album, (since it looks christmasy) Last year was our first christmas as a married couple, so it work out perfect. Every year I can do a page. And every year it will have a pic of us and our christmas tree and how our house is decorated for the holidays. So in about 10 years we will be able to see the progression! Thanks for letting me share this tid bit of info!

Here is the list of ones I have done or am in the process of doing

DS album
DS tournament baseball teams....two seperate 7x7 albums of the season.
Disney vacations too many albums to count
Family album
Trip albums...I am a photo hound so all of our vacations are in seperate albums due to the amount of pics I take.
DD #2 album plus a senior year album documenting her activities that year.
25th anniversary album (hubby and I through the years)
25th anniversary trip album 7x7 size
DD#1 redoing her albums....many in old style books, thank heavens everything is documented and I don't have to guess. She is doing alot of the work on her own.

Ideas for album theme...baby girl, baby boy, sports teams, high school years....etc. too many to list here..
