Did anyone on this thread see TYATR in 1980-1981? I've tried finding YouTube clips to no avail of 2 very unique characters on the show. 1 was a cult leader that Nikki was a member of. The cult leader's name was Sumiko. The other bizarre character on the show was a stalker who stalked Nikki. I think his name was Ed or Edward. If my memory serves me correctly, he was killed off in the show.

Anybody remember these 2 characters or know where I can find footage of these episodes?

Together they investigated The New World Brotherhood, with Peggy infiltrating the commune. The leader, Sumiko, discovered that Peggy was a reporter who had found out that the cult was a scam. So Peggy was locked up in the same place where Nikki Reed and Paul Williams were being held. Nikki and Paul were cult members who had also discovered the scam, and Sumiko wouldn't let them leave. Sumiko tried to kill Peggy, but she was saved by Paul, and Steve rescued them all with his father, police detective Carl Williams. Sumiko was arrested, and Steve and Peggy wrote an expose on the cult, shutting it down.

Anita is visiting ChelC at the hospital. ChelC is worried about the kind of mother she will be based on how she was raised. She swears that her past will not touch her future with Dylan and their "son". She then tells Anita that she wants her out of her life! Victoria also stops by to congratulate ChelC. She actually apologies to her for threatening to tell Adam the truth and promises her that she will keep her secret. Later, Dylan stops in to see his wife. They share another tender moment.

Dylan is at the coffeehouse with Adam. He tells him about ChelC and the premature baby. He also lets him know that ChelC will NOT be a character witness for him.

Sharon goes to see Adam at NE. She tells him she wont be able to be a character witness for him either! She says she's busy with other things and also reminds him of how cruel Adam has been to her lately. Afterwards, Victor tells Adam to take a business trip, get away from the media. Saying HE will deal with the DA.

Adam goes to Jacks to tell him about ChelC & the baby. He tells him about ChelC and Sharon turning him down as character witnesses and about Victor pushing him to leave town. Jack believes Victor will turn on him again and not to trust his father. Jack then agrees to be a character witness for him.

Sharon stops by to see Nick. He seems happy to see her, even offers her a glass of wine. But Avery calls and tells Nick she's coming home...TOMORROW!!!

Nikki tells Victor that he could push Summer away over his vendetta against Jack. Victor agrees to back off as long as Jack does not try to turn Summer away from the Newman family.

Billy is talking to Jack about his marriage. He wants his wife back and later. He's done playing games with Newman Enterprises, he now has a new idea. He then asks Victoria for sometime alone.

I don't remember her ever being stalked...I remember she was kidnapped and also that Danny Romaloti was stalked but not here...cant find an Ed or Eddie or Edward anywhere...are you sure that that was his name?

I found out a little about Edward but not much. He was listed as THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS Regular: 1981; as "Edward," the psychotic neighbor who terrorized Vicki (Melody Thomas) played by Paul Tulley. A HUGE storm is heading to GC. Kay sends friends and family post cards asking them to go to her home. Victor/Nikki and Cane/Lily head over to the Chancellor estate. Jill tells Cane that she's worried because she hasn't heard from Kay in a while. The weather is bad and Kay and Murphy are still not home. A call comes in from Kay's phone, its Murphy telling them that HE will be home soon, saying there's something he needs to tell them. They all curious as to why Murphy was calling on Kay's phone. Jill gets an eerie feeling that something is wrong. Jill asks everyone to pull out their post cards. Jill figures out that Murphy and Kay had been completing Kay's bucket list.

Nick is setting up a romantic dinner for Avery. Sharon calls and asks him to come over...Faith is sick. Nick leaves a note for Avery and heads over to Sharon's to see Faith, but the wind from the storm blows the note off the table (Nick...as always....has NO clue). Avery shows up to an empty house. Sharon, Nick and Faith are playing Twister! Later, Nick gets Faith to bed, he and Sharon disccuss what she's feeling. Meanwhile at Nicks, Summer stops by to see Avery. Avery talks about her feelings for Nick. Later, Avery see's Nick with Sharon and Faith!

Billy sets up a romantic evening with Victoria. They talk about their past and how they fell in love. Victoria decides to give Billy another chance!

Ed was not shown at all in the early weeks of the storyline. Only his voice was heard from the telephone. He would tell Nikki that she looked pretty, etc. then Nikki would freak out.
After many weeks of not revealing his physical appearance, the writers/producers finally decided to introduce him to Nikki onscreen, with Nikki not being able to tell that the "nice guy" who would compliment her on screen was none other than the creepy, telephone stalker. She couldn't tell that the voices were from the same person.
Finally, to further confuse Nikki, the stalker called Nikki on the telephone in the same scene in which he was with her in the same room right next to her. How this was done was after the stalker/caller finished telling Nikki how beautiful she was over the phone, the audience was left to wonder how this was accomplished with him standing right there comforting her in the same scene. Right before going to a commercial, the viewing audience was shown a huge, sophisticated tape recorder hooked up to Ed's telephone at his house. From there, Ed would always call Nikki when he was at her house (to further confuse her.) it got creepier and creepier. Finally, after months of this storyline, the writers decided to get rid of Ed by having him either die in a house fire in his house or by having him be trapped in his house by his own bomb (I can't quite remember exactly which way was his demise.)
Anyone else remember this retro storyline? It was always creepy.

Murphy talks about the places he and Katherine visited, time she spent in Hong Kong with Tucker and her passing away in her sleep. Katherine has written a letter, she doesn't want tears, she wants her loved ones to celebrate her life. We see each remembering good times with Katherine, they drink champagne and toast to Katherine

Next - Noah tells Sharon about Nick and Avery's wedding date ; Lauren gets a call from Carmine ; Paul tries to stop Michael from going after Carmine

ChelC seeks out an...WAIT FOR IT... PEDIATRIC EYE SPECIALIST!!!

Was baby Connor born with the same kind of eye disorder Adam and his mom Hope had? Could that be how her secret is exposed?

Avery knocks on Sharon's door to retrieve her man. They leave, but Nick leaves his jacket behind. Nick and Avery return home and have sex on the couch. Noah stops by Sharon's to check on her and Faith after the storm. Sharon decides to take Nick's jacket to him, interrupting their sexy time. Nick takes his jacket upstairs and Avery takes that time to thank her for being their for Nick while she was away. Sharon tells her that she will ALWAYS be there for Nick.

Meanwhile, Noah is cleaning up Sharon's living room and he comes across a picture of Nick, he also finds Sharon's traffic ticket. He later confronts his mom on being at the gala the night of Phyllis' accident!

Avery tells Nick that she doesn't want to wait on the wedding. She's ready to get married NOW!

I can't stand Victoria! She told Billy when she was taking those hormones that she wanted to give her daddy another grandchild. The last thing she wants is for Adam to find out he has a Newman heir of his own. I swear, its hard to believe Victoria is the OLDEST of Victors kids. She's such a brat!

Agreed...she is such a winer....remember how we all just loved Billy and her as a couple...well Im loosing that flare...its like I want to tell billy to just move on if she cant make up her mind....one day she wants him the next she does not than again and again and again...she knew who she was marrying...so get on with it...

I dont even think she is even thinking about the baby as being an heir....she just hates Adam so much that she does not care it will come out that she knew....and Adam will be looking for revenge....even if he makes it look like he won't...he will one way or the other...

Wonder if this will cause ChelC to loose her son for holding the truth from him? or will Adam just be so happy that they become a family again?

Thats Victoria! She destroys good men! Ryan, Cole, Brad, JT, now Billy. I loved Villy at first, they were so cute and fresh. But Victoria will always put her daddy first. He has ruined ALL of her marriages yet she craves his attention. Her love for her father has always been disturbing! Victor even caused Victoria to loose rights to her son yet she can't live without his approval!

I wanted to be a ChelC fan. I tried cause I really love the actress. BUT I can't stand this character! Victor is now on Adams side. So IF he fights for his son, something tells me Adam will win! The only question is would Adam forgive her? I hate to admit it, but I think he would.

Oh and couldn't Sharon fix all of this by encouraging Nick to get a second opinion? Another paternitt test would have Nick and the Newmans would love her!
