No snow. Just very cold and dreary. I haven't seen the forcast yet, so I don't know if we are in for snow.

Going to get the fixings for enchillatas (sp?) this morning. Got a new crock pot and cookbook this weekend. My MIL and SLI borrow my CP every Christmas for snacks and I never see it again until halloween. Got a nicer one!;)

Start posting those slow cooker recipes!

Morning Beth and Jennifer.

Well Beth, looks like you are going to "hole up" for a while. Just stay in and stay safe, OK?

Yeah, Nancy and I had a nice chit-chat last night.

Jennifer, you have to stop sneating in a the bottom of pages girl!

Jennifer, what kind of crockpot did you get?
I absolutely love mine, but need a new one. The knob broke off, and so did one of the handles!
I have a leftover turkey recipe in mine now. The house smells so yummy! :)

Oh...Jennifer...there you are! Good morning! Oooo....I have 2 cookbooks full of CP recipes....what cha in the mood for? Sherry...as soon as some of this wretched ice melts I am heading to a book store to get Georgie's cookbook for his grill! My cooking right now is very basic...meat, spices, lettuce!!! HA HA...well maybe not THAT basic...but close!:) I need some variety! Now GP is our resident gourmet! Bet he could give us some good and healthy recipes..... what do ya think GP???:) :)

Bob is sitting at the airport waiting for his flight to arrive from Cinncinati....how many donkeys are gonna fly before that flight arrives??? I told him I would check with ya'll! OVER THE PHONE I got one of these  ....sometimes ya don't need to see em, you can feel em...know what I mean???;) Anyway...lots of snow in Cincinnati right? I told him to slide his car home and forget about it....but he can be juuuust a tad stubborn! Hmmmm....must be where my kids get it from!:p

Beth, the ice down here is BAD! I keep waiting to lose power but it continues to hold! The roads are horrible...even for 4 wheel drives! I keep telling the Dreammobile that it has to pretend to be a Durango....it's not working! Guess I'll just wait for the thaw!!! I am sure schools will be out again tomorrow here....up there....geez ya'll could be looking at the whole week off!!!! What a Winter!

A stubborn husband? why, I never heard of such a thing! :p

I hope he slides home real soon Jodie!

Recipes....hmmmm.....anything that isn't pasta, grilled chicken, or breakfast (the 3 things we have been living off of the last few months.... ) We need variety and spice!

Sherry, really only Dh and will eat anthing that comes out of a crock pot, so I got th Rival 2.5 quart one. It was cheap, and the pot comes out of the base (my other one didn't).

I have the first fix it and forget it cook book. Any others you would recommend?

Jennifer, let me know if you and the family like steak fajitas. I have a great CP recipe for those. I will also look this week in my Taste of Home magazines.

Jodie, don't even try to go out on ice. No, no, no. You are grounded. I was looking through my new cookbooks for diabetics over the last couple of days. Wow! I found some great recipes, and naturally, they are very healty ones. I must have 50 little pieces of paper sticking out of them. Appetizers/snacks, main meals, soups, salads, and some yummy desserts (quote: in moderation, of course).

how many donkeys are gonna fly before that flight arrives???

Hmmmm, I'm gonna guess......22! What do we win if we're right?

Another snowbound person checking in. Shelfish, huh? You're right, I don't miss any of your typos, sometimes I just choose to let them sliiiiiiiiiddddeeee...:teeth:

I must be bored. I just ordered a "turbocooker" off the infomercial. Cooks food only with water and 3 foods at once. I'll let you know how it works.

That box of Jay's is cute isn't it. I was originally getting it for $1 but someone came along and upped the bid. Long as it is less than $7.50, I think it will still be a steal. Of course, if I win it, it will be here in my computer room with the rest of my yaya collection (hula Santa, Pixie dust wand, etc.)

Level two snow emergency here, so I'm not driving 25 miles to work to get stuck there. They are supposed to get more snow at work than here even!

So are we going straight to the dude ranch or are we going on a wagon train first?

No problem Jennifer. I will get the fajita recipe out later today and PM it to you. I will look for more recipes during the week...I think they is an issue where they focused on crockpot recipes.

Bonnie, a wagon train!:Pinkbounc :bounce: That would be so fun and exciting. Marilyn runs to get her long western dress with flowers on it, her sun bonnet securly tied under the chin, and drags out her mosse antlers to hang on the back of her covered wagon.

Well, I don't think the cruise ship would just dock at the dude ranch unless we want to use my magic pixie dust wand.:p

Oh my ladies, did you see?
We're on page one-forty three!
Come on yayas, let's make some noise,
so we can be off to see some cowboys!

I LIKE IT!! "The Ya Ya's head West, Wagons, Ho!'

Hi Bonnie  Here at work, anxiously awaiting the word that they are going to spring us, and close for tomorrow! Cross those fingers!

True, true. That will be very fun indeed.

Well, off for some sopping. DH wants his sauce tonite, and I am not shelfish. I will come back home and get all nice a wormy. No scrap is going in my sauce though. It was gald to see you all this morning. Now don't sneat away from the ship while I am gone. When I get back I will do a ketchup. I was frozed til I remembered the thermostat was on weekday auto....65 degrees. Well, I have spaked enough for now...later!

How was that for a YaYa talk paragraph?

I'm still here. The girls have revolted on me and refuse to get dressed to go to the grocery store. Can't say I blame them.

I like the wagon train idea! But no dirty and dusty trail! Nice soft green grass!

Nice poem Bonnie. Sorry, don't mean to leave ya here, but I will be back (I heard that "thanks for the warning" remark!)

Sure Laura! No problem. I will PM it to anyone who wants it. If you prefer by e-mail, just send me your address.

Later YaYa's!

A PM is fine with me Marilyn.........thanks:D
