Oooo Jay...Amtrak that is NOT!!! Anybody ever seen The Orient Express? It was on the tracks many years ago when I was in Paris....now THAT is a train!!! Seems almost a crime to call it a train...it needs to be in a class all by itself! Combine the OE and your train Jay...and ya have Ya Ya transport deluxe!!! So are we putting away our Western garb for more formal attire on our train journey? Sounds good to me!

I saw part of a show on the American Orient Express this weekend & it looked really nice. Probably not as nice as the original OE tho. We'll have plenty of time to get dust in our, um, bloomers (no bloomers for me, thanks), I say we ride in air conditioned and heated comfort on the luxurious Ya Ya Express.

Oh gosh Nancy, if DH doesn't get questioned about the knives I'll be more surprised than a racoon with lights shining in his eyes. (Oh Lord, get me away from Pam NOW!!!)

Sauce is cooking, have to make roadkill, I mean meatballs (ground sirloin, 98% fat free). Hey! Anyone cook with ground turkey? Say I make sloppy joes.....is the taste that much different?

I will type out the fajita recipe this afternoon.

Sherry, what kind of meat and veggies does DH like? I will go throught the cookbooks and pick out recipes, photocopy them and mail them off to you.

Hello!

Well, DH is on a plane bound for Detroit. I'll be slightly nervous all day (as usual when he travels) until he calls when he checks into his hotel.

Don't worry Nancy! The weather here isn't dangerous at all!! We have a few flurries, as Jen said, and the sun is out. He'll be safe!

I can't wait to get the fajita recipe.....my family will LOVE it!

Marilyn....ground turkey is GREAT!! I never use beef anymore. Here is the really convincing one...my kids now prefer ground turkey...well i should say kid....the picky one loves ground turkey...the other one swears she is vegetarian!!! Give me strength.
I have some recipes if you would like them....passed to me from a great friend! Who else did I promise these to...was it you karen? Marilyn send me your email address and I'll get them to ya!

Marilyn....I use ground turkey (very lean breast only) all the time. It is pretty tasteless, so I use lots of extra seasonings. Works well for casseroles and tacos and such.

I'm not getting dusty and/or dirty at any ranch!! Sorry!! No way.
I will claim a suite and stay inside with my dude(s).......I live in farm country.....that doesn't do anything for me at all.......so a great suite and a great kitchen and I'm set for our stint there.

I am looking forward to the train trip though. In fact, I just got a brochure in the mail that had some of those same pictures in it......looks good to me

Back to cleaning.

I'll let you know what happened with the knives when I hear. They were in checked baggage but there were a lot of them. They are small though.........so we'll see.

I use ground turkey alot, too. I notice no difference, but DH does.

Thanks so much Marilyn! DH likes pretty much all meat, but the dr. wants him to eat mainly chicken for awhile. As for veggies, he likes potatoes, corn, and peas & carrots. (and only if the peas and carrots are together.)

Sorry, I'm not getting dirty either.
