Luis is very right in that you can stop weight loss by not eating enough. Your body goes into starvation mode and your metabolism slows way down to "save" you.

Oh, and I second the exercise. It will boost your metabolism so that when you start eating more, you won't gain a lot of weight.

I third the exercise. It does wonders for your metabolism.

I have to be very honest here. I fell off the healthy lifestyle wagon very badly the last couple of days but Im restarting tomorrow. I have my exercise tape now and the food mover so it should be easier for me. I did really well for about three days but day four and five I failed miserably because I was weak to things that were brought into the office for V Day. I did manage to lose a half a pound though!

Good morning YaYa's! Hope everyone is well today.

Well, we got a pretty good snow storm last night. Luckily it didn't start until I got home and DH got home with Petite YaYa. We are going to do some grocery shopping today and she has informed me it is a day of baking, playing games, and tonite Trading Spaces and a fire in the fireplace. Pushy little YaYa, isn't she? (j/k)

Elaine, yes, start eating more rounded meals and excercise. The YaYa's are right. I have much more energy now and I am losing weight (7 1/2 lbs so far ).

Good luck on eBay Jay. I will check out your stuff, cause I am going back on this weekend to bid on more charms. And Jennifer, while you are sending out blank checks....you know my address.

The boys are fine this morning just a little wild. How are your girls?

Well so much for my quiet day. I forgot that DS has a basketball game at three and now my inlaws, BIL, SIL and the nieces will be there then we are going to dinner at the ILS. So now I have to go out and shop for the girls birthday gifts which I was going to do tomorrow and ship them to them. I really didnt feel like going out today. I have a nasty headache that is making me a little queasy.

Marilyn sounds like you have a busy day and night ahead with Petite YaYa. Hope you have a blast together!!

I slept terrible!! Yankee candles were jumping around my head all night! I shouldn't have mailed the list out last night.....but if I didn't I would have thought about it anyway.........so.......I guess I was destined for little sleep.

Wait until you all see these pictures I took outside... makes me feel better that I stayed home once I shoveled all that snow off the driveway. For the first time in a long long time I am very glad we have a 1 car garage!!! At least I got my workout for the day!!!

Morning ya'll. I'd say that Tom probably thinks it's odd too, but now that I think about it... he's pretty odd himself, so doubt very much that he thinks our Good Mornings are weird either. Husband/wife relationships... makes me think of something a friend recently told me... she recently told her husband... "honey, I love you, but for some reason, I just don't like you right now!" LOL!! I know that feeling.... the other day Tom said to me: "The thing is, you've just recently realized you're married to a dork, and you're having a hard time dealing with that." It's true. Not a bad thing really, just an oberservation. Hey, he can't be all bad... he takes pics of Apolo for me... I think I'll keep him!

Marilyn!! I am so bad!!! YES!!! I did get your Valentine! I fully intended to PM you last night to tell you thank you, but after the second Margarita... well, I kinda sorta forgot! I even had written myself a reminder note.... lot of good a note does when you can't see straight though. Thank you ~Thank you!! It truly did bring a smile to my day!

Thank you so much for your kind words about my pictures. They were certainly a lot of fun to get. They're racing in Canada this weekend. Wish I was there. They'll be in Bay City MI on the last weekend in Feb. Waaaaah! Why are they all so far away from me?

Karen, I have to confess... I missed what your son's accomplishments were. Blame it on the Margarita fest last night. Whatever it was... kudos to him!! It sounds like it must've been wonderful! I have nothing to brag about where my son is concerned these days. All he's managed to accomplish lately, is the bombing of candy hearts on the girls in his class.

Good morning, everyone! (Yes, I say it to everyone I see in the morning--even DH before we get out of bed! Don't understand why your DH would think it's weird, Jennifer)

I have been a lazy Ya Ya this morning, it's past 11:30 here and I'm still in my jammies!! Got a new coffee maker yesterday and FINALLY (after about 5 year) was able to make drinkable coffee in my own kitchen! Starbucks has just made too big a hole in my wallet over the last few months. Got all the mid-month bills paid and watched my favorite QVC show, now I'm ketchuping before I hit the shower and then head out to the grocery store.

Elaine, I'm so sorry you can't go to MI today. Looks like we will have to shovel the car out here too. At least it only looks like 2-3 inches and the parking lot has been plowed. Just gotta clean around the car.

Nancy, sorry to hear you didn't sleep well. Frustrating isn't it?! Hope you have a better night tonight.

Marilyn, sounds like a fun day with the mini Ya Ya! Baking is especially fun with a little one!! Have a ball!!

Bonnie, it's great that things are better at work. I agree, though, wondering how long it's gonna last. People like that usually can't keep up "the act" for very long and eventually revert to their true selves.

Oh, DH called me this am and talked for about a minute before his cell phone died. They are camping on the lake with 24 inches of ice. Actual temp last night was -10º, this morning's actual temp was -7º. But they are surviving. Someone brought a hot tub onto the ice and was filling it with water.
