Oh, I did not tell y'all, Monday was his first day back at school, and his classmates and teachers had made a big sign saying "Welcome Back Ian" and hung it up on the wall. It was really cute, and he was kind of embarressed. Hee hee

BWWWAAAHHHAAA Oh Jeannie, I love it! Marilyn grabs one of the tails, puts on a blindfold and spins herself around. She reaches the jacka..um I mean Apolodonkey, and starts to feel around for a place to pin the tail. Apolo screams....AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Oops, sorry dorkboy, didn't mean to pin it in your chin. After all, with a blindfold on, it's hard to thell the difference between your face and your grace! On second thought dorkboy, it's hard to do that even with the blindfold off!

Debster, that was so nice of the teacher and the other kids to make the sign for Ian.

Jodie, spring better be right around the corner. It's only 4 degrees here with a windchill of 19 below. Blech!

Howdy Fellow YaYa's.....Here's sump'in different.....

....I'm gonna ask for some serious advice/feedback/thoughts!


I'm been "elected" to put on a public supper early in May at my Church...which has a commerical kitchen....it will be done in a served buffet fashion...with an expected turn out of about 200.

The "theme" is "International"....now the folks helping me in the kitchen have some to no experience in feeding a large group....so I need items which can be done ahead of time..more or less....this is what I've come up with...I know it's not enough...so I'm welcoming suggestions..especially for desserts (as I have not identified any todate)

Soup
....Portuguese Gazpacho

Entrees
...Mediterranean Pasta salad w/shrimp and tuna stuffed olives
(my own creation)

...Indian Chicken Kabuli (aka Murgh Kabuli) w/balsamic rice

...Oriental Sweet & Sour (sump'in I haven't decided)

...Cold Welsh Pork Pie

Sides
...Israeli Cucumber Salad

...Lebanese Tabouleh

Desserts
....????

I'm thinking I should do one morn main....something carribean or American .....and I need 2-4 more sides and desserts....

thoughts? Suggestions?

Laura, Pam is sneaty. I tried to avoid her once when she came to my house to feed me her stew. She had encounters with flying pigs and everything but still managed to find me hiding behind my sofa, we scrubbed my floors with a toothbrush (that was my excuse why she couldn't come over ), and then she made me eat her stew and stayed the night. I can't tell all of the story, I start shaking and break out in hives thinking about it.

(And DH owns a 4x4) And don't Marilyn fool you, she had the best darn time of her life when I went to visit her - why, she's even been trying to fix me up with her brother/uncle!

Just busy too.
I haven't been mothiest in the last couple of locations.
Got lots of projects going right now......now next week, we'll see. DH will be gone for 5 days...........I'll get bored!
