I posted a little while ago - and it disappeared!

a wine and cheese thermal backpack.

Oh - good thing I reread that Sketti, I thought it said WHINE and cheese!;) That's what I would be doing on a hike - WHINING! Does anyone want to be my couch potato buddy??:p

Jeannie,
Mmmmmm....... that soup smells divine and looks like it will be sooooo tasty. Just set it on the counter, it needs to cool down (yeah, that's right, it needs to cool down) before I can digest it.

Jay,
The Spam song is a big no-no for this Pam. Be a love and figure out what I was tortured by growing up by all of those nasty school kids - the Span song!

Marilyn,
Thank-you - be on the lookout for something for you in the next couple of days!!:Pinkbounc

Pam

Of course you can be my hiking buddie Elaine. I must first warn you that I only do hikes that are less than 2 miles. I am an Elder Ya Ya and don't have to go any farther than I want. Also, what kind of wine would you like? I like a chardennay or white zin but am open to most any wine.

Pam, You do know that hiking is not like hunting for varments. We do not kill the critters and bring them to the cagin to cook....... We look at the critters and talk about them when we get back to the cabin. I will be looking for the male specimen in the wild.......do you think Tom Cruise will be there????? Well, you can't blame a girl for trying.

Got to run. We are taking the kids to Buca de Beppo's and letting them bring one friend each. Should be a lot of fun. Will be back in a couple of hours.

Nancy the money order will be going out on Monday. I am so sorry I havent done this sooner. I meant to get this out to you much sooner than this.

Marilyn thank you so much for my special card. My first valentine!!! My cant understand the internet friendships coworker is begining to see the light so to speak.

Does anyone have a copy of the address/birthday list they can send me?? I dont have one and I know Jennifer is the keeper of the list and she isnt here right now.

I am SO proud of ds!!!! He got his report card yesterday and got all A's and made gold honor roll again and today they won their first basketball game!!!

I am a little bummed. Dh's company is having a big party on the 22nd and we cant go. Number one our in laws probably will not be able to sit for us and then Ryan's basketball awards night is the same night! We cant not go to the awards night.

Hi my sistuhs! How is everyone tonite?

Glad you all are receiving your cards. They got there really fast.

Jodie dear, I bought what you said 100%! And you are right, I let the elder YaYa's down today. I have to hone my skills....it's been a while since I had him put anything together.

Nancy, my bags are packed and I am warming up the Tank as I type. I told DH "I love ya, but I'm moving in with Nancy so I can get up every morning and sit with a cup of java and look at that view". (Have any of you ever had your DH's tell you not to let the door hit you.....oh never mind):p That view is gorgeous.

Oh Paaaaam, I just checked the soup.....it's cool now. Here ya go! Bon apetite!!!

Thank-you - be on the lookout for something for you in the next couple of days!!

Pam, just a reminder....it is against the law to mail dead animals.

Auriel, I want some of your tart. Please......... (Oh, alright Jodie! I know I can't have it) :( Meannie!!! But I can some of my sugarless cookies tonite!:Pinkbounc

Yeah, yeah, whatever you say Jay
:teeth:

Very nice what DH did Debster. We have a neighbor just like that. He had a mild stroke (they think) this morning. The ambulance was there at 6:00 am. this morning. :(

Well, DH is done playing his concert with Eric Clapton (he said Clapton is finally learning how to play as good as him :p )

Later!

Someone tell me Im being silly please. We have a big trip planned for our 20th anniversary starting on July 4th and Im feeling a little uncomfortable about it with the new terror alert warning that went up. Im a little scared about being in such a target place during a holiday as significant as that one is. Im being silly right????

I don't think your being silly at ALL. I think your being cautious (which a lot more people should be). I think, and I hope that wdw is being as cautious as you are and would close the place if there was ANY danger at all.

Well Betty, I will be glad to take only 2 mile hikes. Especially in July I doubt I will want to go much further. I think I would prefer a nice sweet wine... you know a nice red one that isn't too dry at all... need to quench that thirst while hiking you know ;)

Karen, congrats to your DS!!! That is great news!!!! And I would defnitely not miss the awards banquet for anything :)

Karen, I hate saying that people are silly, but you wanted to be told that so I will tell you that you are being silly. Don't you worry, you will be fine and this warning isn't anything that should get in the way at all of your trip. Also remember that your trip is way way out there so things can change between now and then :)

Karen,

You are not being silly, you are being concerned and aware of what's going on. I had to fly for work this past September (2002). My choices were the evening of the 11th (no thank you), first thing on the 13th (which happened to be Friday the 13th, another NO thank you), or anytime on the 12th. I chose the12th, but was on the verge of tears walking down the jetway to get on that plane, as I had worked myselft all up. To top it off, DS was sick, and I was leaving him with my parents. It was just yuckky. But I did it, and it was fine! You will be too.

Another late night for me Ya Ya's, who is with me? We have 4 different file corruptions at work, and the software company is writing the fixes, but then we have to drop the new patches. Blech.

Aw, Nancy, your Taffy looks just like my Samantha. How many torties do we have in this group anyway?

Karen, I don't think you're silly, but I think you are stressing yourself about something too far in the future. I will probably make an emergency kit, but doubt I will put all the stuff in it that they call for. More likely the food, water, radio, and flashlight. I always carry a blanket in the back of the car anyway. The only thing I have been doing differently is making sure the car always has plenty of gas.

Anyone want to help cheeto my dh? I got a bill today for repairs on his boat that he just told me about yesterday (the boat is stored elsewhere, I had no idea he had it in for repairs). This bill is due in 10 days, and it is for $541! I see a major cheetoing in his future. Good thing for him that he is working until late tonight!

I'm not sure what dh will say if I finalize some plans for WDW by myself. I mentioned it last night as a possibility, and he seemed to think it wasn't a bad idea, but of course, he knew that bill was coming too. DD said "Nooooooooooooo!!!!!!!", but doesn't want Mom to go all alone. You'd think I wasn't self sufficient or something! Criminy! I think they want to believe that I need them for security or something!

Just got back from a matinee performance of South Pacific. I really enjoyed it, but DD was not impressed. I do not know how I ended up in a family that doesn't like WDW or the theater!

Karen.....don't worry about the $$. I'm in no hurry.
And also don't worry about the trip. That's a long way away. Too many people change their plans and that's what "they" want. I wouldn't change mine!!
Congrats on your DS! I love when the kids do so well. :) Good for him.

Marilyn...come on over! ;) Guest room is ready.
When it is light tomorrow, I will take a picture of the "good" view :teeth:

Bonnie.....seems with a bill like that, you should go to WDW!! That is better than a cheetoing.

Off to get dinner ready.
Deb....Carol will be on later (Sunday is her "free" day). She gets up early (for her time zone) to get online and play the day away.
I'll be back later too.

Geez Bonnie...sorry about the unexpected nautical expense! From what I have seen, boats are expensive little toys!!

Evening everybody! Someof ya'll are gonna be up late huh? Don't think I'll be one of ya tonight....I'm pretty tired today.

So Jennifer gets home tomorrow? Awww....last night in WDW...I hate that night!!!

Well...Sketti - what if we stumbled upon some already dead critters - could we stick them in your backpack and bring them back to the cabin? And yes - I heard through the grapevine that Tom Cruise said he wouldn't miss the YaYa Extravaganza for nothing!

Marilyn,
Huh uh..... you are too allowed to mail dead animals - but you have to gut them first and the pelts have to be cured and dried. (Don't ask how I know this....:o )

Bonnie,
DH also has a boat - 'nuff said - feel for you, sista!:(

DH is on his way home from Orlando - he has a layover in Atlanta.

Pam

I hate the last night of a trip to Disney too. I hate going to bed because I know when I wake up we will have to leave.

Don't worry Pam! I won't!!!:p :p

Hey now why can't Tom Cruise come to the Ya Ya fest??? This IS our fantasy right??? Go for it Betty!!!! Dreams DO come true sometimes...right??;)

Evening all :) Bonnie, your DH does need a cheetoing in a big way!!! I do think though that you could get a nice trip to WDW out of that one :)

I hate the last night at WDW too... always sad. I do have to share my last night this trip was spent with a good buddy watchng and waiting for the kiss goodnight. It came, we watched, I cried... we slowly walked out of MK and headed back to the bus. Along the way it was decided that stopping for food would be a good idea. So just about midnight, we were found at Tubbi's eating a pizza together... talk about a magical night. Perfect way to end a stay :)

Im too skeered to ask Pam how she knows about mailing dead animals. ROFL

You are wise, my little grasshopper!;)

Jodie,
Tom said he WAS coming for the meadow frolic, along with Dorkboy, Harrison, Sean, and everyone else.
