Jay, I wonder that too, do you set off metail detectors in airports. My mom had her elbow reconstructed 2 summers ago after she shattered it, and she has about 2 feet of stainless steel wire in her arm. She has not flown since, so I don't know.

Michele, you get a lot of symptoms DS gets with migraines. He was convinced he had a brain tumor, stemming from a brawl he was in as a teenager and got hit in the head with at bat and got a concussion (yes, he was a sweet, innocent teenager ). He had an MRI about 3 months ago. Everything came out fine, and I am sure yours will too sweetie. Just stick with us this weekend. We'll keep you company til you get the results (I know, I know, a whole weekend with Pam on the ship and eating her cooking is more a burden than diversion, but we just have to take the good with the bad sometimes. Sigh)

Hey! It worked didn't it? To this day I keep a bat hanging from a belt at all times. (It's fun to watch him twitch when I lay my hand on top of the bat )

Actually it was DS who got hit. Phone call from the emergency room at 1:00 a.m. They got him while sitting in the car. They smashed his windows in....while they were trying to hit him with the bat, he was trying to protect himself....took the Dr's and nurses 2 1/2 hours to pick all the glass out of him. I almost passed out when they finally let me see him (good nurse I would have been, huh? ) The thing is, he had never gotten out of the car to join in the fight with his "friends". Oh, that was only a small portion of what he put us through. To this day, I'm not quite sure how he turned out to be the wonderful husband, dad and human being he is.

DH got beat up by a fraternity of guys when he was 19 because he [DH] was defending his drunken brother who shot his big mouth off to the college guys.
