We're having a movie marathon here too.....while I'm wrapping presents. I have a ton to mail out this year (it's going to break the bank!).
So far we've seen Bourne Identity, Santa Clause 2 and we're working on The Score now.
DD goes back to school tomorrow.

I worked 10 1/2 hours yesterday and got home at 2:30 a.m. and didn't get to sleep til 4 or 5 and woke up at 9 and I am now rambling on....

Okay, now for the preganant moment story...being 8 weeks along really shouldn't mean there would be pregnant moments so soon, however, that would not be the case with me. My son's bedroom was delivered today, so after he went to dad's we began cleaning the spare bedroom (matilda's future room) to put the baby bed back into it. It is a convertible crib to jr bed to twin size. So to ease the aganst he would have in the spring we decided to do it now. So we get the bed just about put together when we realize that one of the screw holes was in the wrong place by a smidge so we couldn't finish putting it together. No big deal Haynes will send someone out on Tuesday until then he can sleep with me...yeah right! Anyway, back to the story, I had decided earlier in the week that since Jarrod would be gone tonight I would go to my favorite restaurant that has these awesome loaded cheese fries...you know fries, melted colby jack cheese, bacon bits (real bacon) and ranch dressing. So I get dressed grab my book (mom didn't feel well so it was just me) and head up there. Now they have been closed since hurricane isabel remodeling. I go in get a table, look at the menu and the fries are not listed. The girl wants to take my drink order but I stopped her and asked if they still had the loaded cheese fries...she says they aren't on the menu let me see if we still do them. No m'am sorry we don't do those any more. So i told her I only came in here for these fries and these fries only. I have been waiting since September 17 to have my fries. (apparently she didn't get the severity of the situation!!) So she apologizes and says she understands if I don't want to stay. I thanked them and left. I got home and started to tell my mom that they didn't have the fries and what do you think happened? I burst into tears. There I was crying b/c the restaurant didn't have the food I wanted and didn't they know I was preganant and needed my fries!!!!!! When i realized how silly I sounded I started laughing and crying at the same time. I ended up making my own fries with cheese (not very good when you have to do it yourself) and then at a big bowl of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream!!

Anyway, now I have to do my grad work and I'm fighting sleep. But I wanted to share my pregnant moment!

Nancy, I can't believe Max's brother found his way all the way out to your place!! We just had Max's funeral a few day ago--he lost his life in a tragic accident behind the entertainment center. A true gourmet, he avoided the Jif peanut butter and the sliced American cheese. But he couldn't resist the colby-jack and has now gone to the great mouse hole in the sky

Tara, that is SUCH a great pregnant moment story!!! Don'tcha just hate the way the hormones make your eyes leak like that!!! Never took much to set me off, either!! And you're a Gevalia lover too?? I even converted the boss at work!!!

CS, oh yes, I certainly DO know how those long distance romances are! I met my DH online, luckily lived only about 250 miles apart, but did the long distance thing for over a year! Not an easy way to build a relationship! Thank God for internet and IM, though!!!

Poor Shep, you need some more sleep than that, my friend!!

Nancy, can I come help you wrap presents?? My stocking exchange is already done and gone and so is the only package of gifts I had to send out this year. All I have is my DH and I haven't even shopped for him yet. Besides......you've got snow up your way........

I haven't tried the fries at Lone Star, I went to Long Branch Steak house. I used to go to a place around here that started down your way Kristy...Rock 'Ola Cafe. We have only one left but it is in Newport News...too far for french fries. But whenever I went to Clayton to see my girlfriend or to Wilmington to see one of my best friend's sister I would force them to go there for me!!!

Yes, these hormones are hell today!! I need to eat again!

But it sounds like everybody's holiday weekend is coming to a close. It seems we have been really busy..doing nothing if that makes sense. Last night we went for adrive around town to see Christmas lights and decorated houses. I just love to do that!! Not a whole lot up yet, but it is still early. We are not putting our tree up this year...not quite sure how I feel about that yet. It IS A LOT of work putting it up with the two us...and Greg would have to take it down by himself.....not fun!!! So on tht note I will have to live vicariously through all of you!!! Living vicariously through Nancy's DL vacation was quite fun as well. So, anyone wanting to share WDW vacation pictures from their trips...please feel free!! Get to go see the cute Doc a week from Monday and schedule surgery!!! Yeah!!! Once that is done and over with I too can start to plan my next WDW vacation. I am thinking maybe October........November......Anybody else have trips planed that far out yet? Let me know!! LOL Tara --for the no fries. I dont see why they couldnt have made them. They still had all the ingredients
My first 3 pgs were okay, no to bad but my last one was a killer. I was sick all the time, mad all the time, uncomfortable--all this leading up to my pg moments. I had 1 (that I care to share ) one was I sent dh to Blimpies to to get me a Hot Roast Beef american--I like it just the way they make it plus extra vinegar (sandwich comes with NO mayo). Dh brings it home with mayo on it. I dont eat mayo, he knows those this for the past many years we had been together. I was so mad, lol. I had been SO looking forward to that sandwich and it was ruined
. Poor dh thought I was going to explode. Anyway I feel much better now
We have some of Max's relatives visiting with us now
they are putting in a new subdivision right behind our house so all his relatives are out looking for new homes.
Beth plans are still being worked out but I will let you know something before Wed. Oh and I have to meet Betty and Rose Mary while there also.
