Well DD did a great job with dinner. The dishwasher is running and DH is taking a nap and DS is getting ready to go to his girlfriend's house.

DD and I are leaving in 30 minutes to see Haunted Mansion. We could drive 45 minutes to see DH's family but just don't want the drama, so we are doing our own thing.

Evening all!

Dinner at the DB's house was wondeful. Deep fried turkey and more side dishes than you could imagine!!

I'm tired but my ex wants to go to a movie tonight so we are headed out after Jarrod goes to bed in a few minutes. He told me to pick so I want to see Haunted Mansion like Betty and her DD. However, i'm so tired I'm really hoping he has fallen asleep and will forget to call me! hehe

Im happy to report that after cooking a complete Thanksgiving meal all by myself all family members are still alive!!
Im going to brave the crowds tomorrow and fight my way through the sales. No old ladies will be spared..they better move it or loss it

Hi all, checking in very quickly. I had a nice day and evening with my family. I am odd because I do not stuff myself so I am starving since nothing was prepared for dinner

I don't stuff myself either, Elaine Especially this year with only 3 of us, I didn't cook too much. I do like leftovers though

We saw Timeline......if you read the book, it doesn't follow it, but it was good....and Betty, Paul was looking mighty fine

We will see HM on Sat. or Sun., depending if DD wants to go to another movie with us.

Nancy I am glad to hear that Paul is looking so good. I haven't read the book Timeline so I guess I won't be disappointed.

We really didn't stuff ourselves either. I try not to do that. I just hate that really full feeling.

Thanks for the heads up, Nancy!! Helps to be prepared, since I absolutely loved the book. I'm thinkin' about taking myself to the movies tomorrow instead of shopping.

Gotta finish or really start 2 papers that are due by sunday evening and a project due by December 8 that I really have not begun yet. and the best part about it is the Professor said we would[\b] have technical problems with it so we better not wait for the last minute! I'm such a computer dork that I know I'm going to be stressing the night before to get it turned in!!

Saw HM and it was cute. I just love that littel boy, I don't remember what show he is from but he is cute as a button!

Okay, time to feed Matilda again. It's been 2 hours and I'm starving...headed for the turkey sandwhich so that i can fall asleep.

Elaine, have fun packing for your trip (and I'm jealous of how early you prepare...I do it the night before and then complain during the trip when I realize what I forgot!!)

Ahhh....back home and ready for bed We had a very nice Thanksgiving. First stop was with my dad's family....most the food was gone by the time we got there...so only ate a little. Chatted for a while (couple hours)....then headed over to have dinner with mom's family. That was nice as well. My "little sis" (cousin really) brought her BOYFRIEND to Thanksgiving. That was a huge shocker for me. She normally dumps a guy after 2 weeks but this one has lasted 4 months. Oh...and she's turning EIGHTEEN next Saturday. Can't believe my little sis is growing up. So....I took her for a walk and gave her "the talk". Normally it would come from her mom...but she's got the whole girl teenager syndrome and can't stand to listen to her mom. Her mom gave me the talk since I didn't want to listen to my mom either.
We ate ALOT there...and brought home LOTS more of it I won't have to cook this weekend for sure!

Came home...had a nice shower....gonna read the sales ads and then crash for the night. I MIGHT be up by 8 to go shopping.

Glad everyone else had a nice Thanksgiving!!

No shopping here. I'm supposed to babysit this morning, and no $$ anyways! LOL

Had a really nice Thanksgiving. The food was delicious, and I did stuff myself. Barely any leftovers at all. Lots of wonderful desserts, too. We played a few rounds of Scene It and that was soooo much fun!!

If y'all can....could you send some prayers and PD to a friend? She had her baby (a boy!) last night, a month early. Everything seemed fine, but about 2 hours after he was born, he stopped breathing. They life flighted him to Rainbow Babies & Children hospital last night. He swallowed some mucous when being delivered, and they are not sure if his lungs are fully developed yet. Tonya had a miscarriage last year and was so excited to be pregnant again and wants a child soo bad, so she is totally devastated by all this. And, of course, things are worse because she is at another hospital now and can't see her DS. So, if you could send some PD and prayers Hunter's way, I would really appreciate it. I haven't heard any news yet today, but am hoping and praying for a good update.

Sherry - big time prayers for you friend and her son. Rainbow Childrens is one of the best hospitals around! 18 years ago, right after I had our DD, one of our friends had a DS and he swallowed some of his own waste while inutero - and it was touch and go for a few days but he's been a strapping, healthy boy for all these years.....

Elaine - still packing?????? I would think that you had a special WDW suitcase just sitting by the door at all times....

Morning all! We had a great Thanksgiving here and I see our Ya Yas checking in did too. I am glad for that. (Todd and Amanda, I was thinking of you yesterday with your full house. Whew, I don't think I could have managed that very well.)

Sherry, sending postiive thoughts, energy and prayers to your friend and new family. Rainbow is a great place for the little one and I just know all will work out.

Kristy, you are the best! Giving the talk and being there for your Sis is a great gift you give to her.

No shopping for me today either. I think I would be one of those oldsters you'd be bangin' outta the way Deena.

Woke up late this morning haven't gone shopping yet...but I'm heading out soon. Darn PMS gave me an early morning headache...missed the early bird specials.
