Good Morning everyone!!!!!!!!!

It is dreary dreary dreary here. Grey and rainy. At least it's not snow.

Amanda--I hope the expectation of your trip is worse than the actual trip. I'm so sorry you have such a worry.

Off to get Bubble Boy set for school. If we move today, can someone get my stuff off the train, busy busy day at work today. 4 meetings, ack!!!

Off to find some coffee!!!

Well, today isn't going to be any better jobwise. My manager isn't even in yet, but seems he can't keep his calendar and keeps double booking himself. This is getting old. He also made a priority call and cancelled a a meeting that needs to happen before Monday. UGHHHHHHHH! I will have to straighten this out first thing this morning.

It is raining here tomorrow....I am hoping it is a sign of Spring to come

bfellar...I hope your daughter feels better.

dizneenut...May today be the last day of sickness in your house.

lvs_eeyore...Glad you are feeling better.

I am wishing everyone a wonderful day today!!!!!!

MOrning all! Can you say SNOW DAY  a month ago that may have been a :bounce: but for pete's sake....it's MARCH!
So the girlies are home today.

How hard did you get hit Marilyn?

Hi Amanda! {{{hugs}}} for th etrip. Betty is right, focus on your parents and any part of the trip that has a bright spot. Sorry it is a rough patch at work too :(

Hey, you ladies making life long eating changes, my step mom wrote and article about this for the hospital magazine. She featured my DH and how he made a change, I'll try to dig it out and post it! Good Luck to all of you!!!!

Coffee please Jodie! :)

oh and Debbie...."he got such a SLAP (insert Emily's clap here) that he sailed across the sea and land."

LOVE IT Jennifer.

Today is "Bring you favorite book to school day"

Ian could not decided so he is bringing 2:

Anansi the Spider (a great great fable from the Ashanti tribe of Ghana)

If you give a Pig a Pancake.

Snow day??? Blech, I am all done with snow, thank you very much. Although, a few years ago we got SLAMMED here in MA on April 1st. It was quite the April Fool's Day surprise.

Oh Amanda....doesn't sound like your day is starting well. {{hugs}} dear! Sounds like you're the one that puts out a lot of fires at work!

Great book choices Debbie! The Pig book is the only one we don't have of that series. We love If you take a Mouse to School!

I've heard the Spider story told, but don't have the book. Great story.

Keep that white stuff in Michigan. PLEASE!!!!!

Well, I am beginning another day at home and again I am doing laundry. That stuff just keeps on accumulating.

Hi Betty!!!

Did laundry yesterday!! I'm still trying to figure out how a family of 4, two of which are less than 50 lbs of fluff can produce 8-12 loads of laundry a week! It's just not right!!!

Are you sure you don't want any snow? I feel like sharing this morning. ;)

***Jodie passes a steamy mug of coffee to Jennifer!***

Giggle giggle...I think I missed a few children's books along the way!!! THIS sounds like one that would still tickle David's funnybone!!! Is this the one ya'll were talking about last night Jennifer and Debbie?

Hang in there Amanda!!!! {{{hugs}}}

Nope, this is by the same author.... "The Grouchy Lady Bug" by Eric Carle. IT's really fun, lady bug goes around picking fights with wasps, birds, elephants........ like Debbie said, it's great to read on days when you're (dare I say, or your child) is feeling grouchy. You can't help but smile! :)

Oh man...Jennifer is sharing SNOW??? Um...no thanks...too many carbs!!!:p

I am already on the second load of laundry this morning ya'll...with 2 more to go!!!! I swear I think my kids (all THREE of em:rolleyes: ) just throw clean stuff in the hamper cause they think I have nothing better to do!!!! Sigh..... Oh well...the laundry baskets are easier to lift now that I have my bowflex!!!!:p

We have a couple of his books but we misses the grouchy ladybug.....hee hee hee....what an image!!!!:p

Jodie and Jennifer, just wait until you have teens. Let's see there is the morning shower towels (x2), the clothes we wear to school(x2), the clothes for sports after school(x2), the shower towels when they get home because they are stinky from track practice(x2) and the clothes that they "chill" in (x2). Oh give me the days of little sleepers and onesies.

SNOW=CARBS. Such wise words from our elder Ya Ya

Have no idea about the kid books you are all talking about but they sound cute.

Morning ladies. :)

Doing okay Jodie... chest feels fine, still coughing which is good I suppose... sure hurts my left side now though. To say this has not been a stellar month for me would be a collosal understatement.

Oh man...Jennifer is sharing SNOW??? Um...no thanks...too many carbs!!!
:p Don't make me laugh... it hurrrrrts! :teeth:

Bowflex... ow... ow... ow... Will I ever work out again? :( Waaah waaah waaah...

I want coffee too... too lazy to go down and get it though. "Oh dear cabin booooy.... would you be a dear and get the coffee started for us?" Damn... cabin boy must still be sleeping. Guess I'll have to get my own coffee. :(

Hmmm...something tells me we missed a lot of good books when Cam was little. We did a ton of reading, but I guess the Eric Carle books escaped us. Cam's favorite was one called "Sleepytime"... all the animals on the farm are tucked in at night... and for each animal, Mama whispers: "Hush hush... it's sleepytime". :p He loved L. Frank Baum stories when he was tiny... still does actually. Oh oh! ....and what's the name of the story with the daddy bunny and baby bunny where they're discussing how much they love each other? I love that one!!! I LOVE YOU.... TO THE MOON AND BACK AGAIN!! So sweet!!

Gotta shower...

***Jodie runs onto Kim's keyboard with a steamy mug of coffee...darn cabin boys...they're not all they're cracked up to be!;) :p ****

Sorry to make ya laugh Kim!:p YES! You will workout again!!! Now that you have the meds you need, every day will get a little better and soon you will be your old self again!!! Promise!

Strange morning. I wonder what it feels like to be a guy? Sometimes this female thing is a pain in the butt! Do ya'll ever get totally overwhelmed with life....and ya have a good long cathartic cry...and feel better??? Why does crying make ya feel better?
****Jodie walks off the screen shaking her head...thinking a shower just might help....*****

Morning Kim...I am so glad you are on the mend! Soon this will be a bad story you share when others are sick!

Awww Jodie....I need to hug you!!! I know just what you are feeling. :( It gets even the spunkiest of us I guess.

I was telling DH the other night, he's lucky to be a man, 'cuase lots about being a woman is hard! :(

{{{{BIG UNDERSTANDING GIRLIE HUG!}}}}

Betty.....you are not being very encouraging! You're suppose to tell us how wonderful teens are....how much easier your life is! What a JOY it is.........

....more laundry?? :earseek: ....sigh.......

Teen = Joy BWAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!! Thanks for makin me laugh Jennifer!!! I have a 12 year old and I can see the writing on the wall man!!! As we speak there is a mound of HER dirty clothes in the middle of the bathroom floor that she was "too busy" to pick up this morning!!! And she sat watching cartoons as she ate her cheerios and reminded me oh so teenagery that I "forgot" to bring her a bottle of water!!! Guess I just might "forget " to take her to riding lessons today too!!!! Can anybody say "oh this is gonna be FUN???"
Thanks for the hug Jennifer....just what I needed this morning.

Uh-Oh.....Jodie's turning the tables on the children! I picked up my socks...honest! :teeth:

That hug lasts all day too! :)

Morning ladies!

{{{{BIG UNDERSTANDING GIRLIE HUG!}}}}
And one from me too Jodie.

Good question....when we feel like that, why DOES it feel good to cry? Marilyn shakes her head.....if I don't get reincarnated as a man, then I'll just get reincarnated as a toad instead of a woman....think of the fun I can have scaring the crap out of Kimmie. :p

Jennifer, I would love to see the article your step mom wrote. Does it describe DH's changes in his eating? What kind of changes?

Betty, laundry can be such a dirty word. :p Now there is just me and DH and you would think there were 20 people living in the house. And all I hear from him is "I need shirts, I need pants, I need whites". His all time classic was opening a drawer and saying "come here, what do you see?". I said "nothing". He said "my point exactly!". :teeth:

Kim, glad you are feeling a little better. Marilyn runs to the kitchen to make Kim a cup of coffee. "Told you that dorkboy was good for nuttin)

Morning Deb!

Great book choices Debbie! The Pig book is the only one we don't have of that series. We love If you take a Mouse to School!

Apolonia has those! I love them. We also started buying the "froggie" (sorry Kim) series of books. The first one is Froggie Gets A Checkup (I think that is the name). Anyway, we laughed so hard when she read it. She called the other night and said she got a new Froggie book, but I forget which one.

Hi Sherry. Sorry Jonathan is still sick. Hope he feels better soon.

Karen, glad you are feeling better today. We are coming down on a Saturday and leaving the next Saturday. Not sure what our plans will be for that Sunday since it will be our first full day there, and I am sure the kids and grandkids will have a ton of things they want to do. Hopefully we can work something out.

Jennifer, we got about 7 inches. The main roads were pretty good this morning. I am boxing mine up on dry ice and shipping half to Kim and half to Jodie.;)

I dunno Jodie, but I hear ya. {{{{{Joining in on the Girlie Hug}}}}}} Somethin' about letting the emotions out rather then keeping them pent up, that definitely seems to help. Wish I had a med. in my newly acquired arsenal that took care of some the girlie stuff... *sigh* guess they haven't come up with that one yet though.

Hey Jodie, I forgot to make sure Cam had his book report ready to turn in the other day, and before that, I forgot to put new paper in his binder... also forgot and left his coat at school, and gosh darn, if I can't seem to remember to put his clean clothes in his drawer and why oh why can't I remember to put the toilet seat down for him?!? MOMS!! Sheesh!!
