Off to start the day, fingers crossed that it will be a better day at work. My boss is super stressed, and is in danger of really snapping. I am actually a little fearful she is going to get so fed up, she will just walk out. ACK.

Ooooh, Sketty, I have the COOLEST bubbles for you to bring. I will throw them in the mail to you. They come in a little test tube, and they stay somewhat inflated, and stick to each other. Very cool.

Morning all!!! I'll have to make this quick so if I miss something, I'm sorry.

Bonnie, you posted right before me last night and I totally missed it. I did find the NW flight that I sort of really liked for $201.50. Delta had a great flight too for $247. NW prices just went down so I will have to keep watching. If we can't all fly out of the same airport, we could at least try to arrive at the same time. Right now the flights I like are arriving at about 10-11:30 am and I will be leaving at about 6-7 pm if I can help it. I like to get as much out of my "end days" as possible. I also have my car so if someone wants to come at a different time, I could always come pick up

Debbie, sorry you are still feeling kind of icky today. I hope you are feeling 100% better soon!!

Morning everyone.
Well, it's official, my office is closed today. DW is still calling to find out if hers is closed, but it looks like they'll be opening at 10am. Needless to say, she won't be going in today, even if they do open. Now for the bad news. She isn't feeling well. She got home last night & had a sore throat & in general wasn't feeling good. Sooooo... we'll see how she does today.

Not sure how many people were up last night, but the thread was quiet b/c they were doing maintenance to the boards starting aroud 11pm CT.

Oh... silly me.... I said I'd post a link to my ebay stuff once I got it out there. Well, here it is.

Well you would think that all of that champagne would have killed any germs you might have passed my way Rosie! But since us Harley chick buddies are loyal and true, I'll take my turn with the ick if it means you feel better!!! Besides...not only am I a Harley chick I am a bowflex chick!! Good morning my sistuhs and bothers.

Just a quick explanation, and then back to being a happy YaYa. Haven't been on last couple of days because it started hitting me on Sunday, that on Monday I had that special class on diabetes management and hit me more..."hey, this is real" type thing, then the class yesterday, very informative, but when learning how to do blood testing...WOW, this is too damn real. Short version,....very touchy, moody, yucky-poo YaYa last two days.

Now if you just needed to focus on things at home for awhile...without the distractions of this crazy place...OK that I understand!!!! Consider yourself fussed with!!!
I'm glad the class was informative! Yeah...the blood tests do kind of bring it all crashing home don't they....I taught diabetes management for a couple of years and your reaction is very much to be expected!!!! Soon it will just be "part of life"...no big deal at all!!! It just takes some getting used to ...just like anything else. {{{{HUGS}}}

I second everything Jodie just said Marilyn!!! Having had to manage diabetes for a short time it is very daunting in the beginning, but becomes a lifestyle of healthy eating you'll be promoting to your friends soon!

I felt good while in class though....my eating habits were not anywhere near as bad as some. One woman has had a habit for years of 1. putting 6 teaspoons of sugar in every cup of coffee , and eating a bowl of Jelly Bellys every night!

You're gonna mangement this just fine! It's very important to follow all the advice the doc's give ya....and quit snorring in class! Your new walking machine now becomes even more important in managing your health! I have a good friend who uses an insulin pump...so while I don't know much...I know some about this....and he's doing great (he did fine just with the injections...but he changed to the pump for convience sake)...just as you will!

Hi GP. Thanks for the kind words. I feel good physically....a bundle of energy most days...

My 3 readings yesterday were "stellar"! Blood pressure is awesome! I just have to get this brain into the right gear some days....but it's getting better.

Glad your friend is doing well. I am fortunate that I do not have to take medication, and I think I will be able to control it with diet and exercise...at least that is my goal.

Carol and Roland want to do Boardwalk at night and suggested Saturday to make it easier for Karen & Michele. She was thinking they would only be making a "day trip". I know Jellyrolls was an absolute HOOT at Dis Con--can you see it with 6-8 Ya Yas??!!!!!!!!

Yes, this is the busy time for me work-wise. I can't DIS as much as I'd like, but I'm trying to check in at least once or twice a day from here at the office. It'll be like this through April But, I'm used to it and can hopefully "cut loose" when it's over!

Jodie, the DJs on my favorite morning radio show were predicting the coming snow fall. LOL!!!! First it was 0 to 3 inches, then it became 0 to 8 inches. Last I heard, they were up to 0 to 30 inches and saying that would cover ANYTHING--they couldn't be wrong!! Sick, that's what they are! Bring on the warm weather and sunshine--that's what I'm singing!!!

Sorry about your weather, too, Jay. Glad DW got home safely. Enjoy your "snow day"!!
