this is for those who are knowlegable on Vegas.
we are going for 4 nights in July 2 adults and DD14 who is classed as an extra adult when booking hotels ,so extra charges for that plus staying Wed to Sun. all opinion is to wait till June or even July before we go to book hotel, i have saw The Wynn for 4 days for $656 including all taxes , but have to pay resort fee when there, this seems extremely cheap ,when i check other sites prices, most charge $30 a night alone plus taxes just for the extra adult.
The Wynn charges $50 a night for extra adult in room plus taxes , Think i will call tomorrow to check everything is included , with the exception of the resort fee--Does anyone know what it is at The Wynn, as i do not seem to be able to find it on their site

I don't recall ever paying a daily resort fee when staying at the Wynn. BTW, check fatwallet.com for good public rates. They Wynn can be had for $99-$129 USD weeknights, w/ promotional credits included. When possible try to book Las Vegas hotels w/ the hotel, usually the best rate and always the best cancelation policy (incase rates drop, which happens often).

still thinking of booking this ,as for $656 including taxes and extra adult which Wynn charges $50 a night extra for, and its Wed Through to Sun, so there would be extra for Fri and Sat stay, where as its working out at $164 inclusive of everything.
and no resort fee would be good as some add quite a bit on .

That IS a decent price. I would keep re-checking as you get closer to your dates, just from personal experience Did you call the Wynn and ask about adding the 3rd person and specifying that they are a child? They may not charge you the extra person fee.

Might give them a call tomorrow and see what rates they have on offer. i have 2 rooms to book , one of them for 2 adults, i saw prices for this $496 inclusive of tax for 4 nights

And I wouldn't even bother mentioning the extra "adult" that isn't an adult...book it as 2 adults w/ 2 Q beds, and I assure when you show up w/ your daughter it will not be an issue.
We just returned from our Wynn stay. Lovely room & resort. We didn't like how far it was from everything & food/drinks were pricey.

We got an invitation in the mail for a $99 price at Wynn or Encore, with Le Reve tickets. That seemed like a great deal. I chose the Encore, but I am concerned about how far away it is from everything, with no shuttle from the airport even, and how are we going to get around in the heat of June?

I have been reading the guidebooks, and they have a lot of the top-rated restaurants, but yes they are pricey! I wanted to book a treatment at the beautiful but pricey spa, but Costco ran out of discounted spafinder certificates the week before I shopped for them!

Being used to Disney resorts through DVC, I was shocked that the Wynn/Encore would charge extra for internet in your room, $50/night extra for a fridge (and don't touch the honor bar or the sensors will charge you!), etc. etc., and somehow they managed to get a 5 star 5 diamond rating. (How can that even be, when online reviews say things like their turndown service is "spotty at best"?)

I'm sure it will be great, but I don't want to have unrealistic expectations.

But we thought we had a good deal, too--but with the price of food/drinks & the extra cabs we took, it was NO bargain.
Don't get me wrong, it is very nice. Guess I am a bit glad we can say we've stayed there--and won't need to again (OK, if they offered me comped rooms I'd have a tough time saying no...)
If you spend most of your time at Fashion SHow Mall, Venetian/Palazzo, TI/Mirage, you will be fine.

Back from our trip - it was very nice! With the bus passes we got along fine. Le Reve was great. I don't know if I'd stay there if the rooms cost more and without the show tickets included, however.

Their claim to have well-ventilated casinos was pretty accurate. We stayed at the MGM the first night, and the smoke was everywhere even on the non-smoking floor, making us sick. We did not have to experience that smoke pollution at the Wynn/Encore, which is one reason we would think of staying there again, given the right deal.

I really don't understand this whole resort fee thing. Just charge $10-$20 more for the hotel room and provide bottled water, Internet, etc. free of charge. Personally, I feel a little ripped off when I'm told that I have to pay a mandatory resort fee for items I don't even use. I know, it all adds up to the same amount, but I can't help feeling resentful about the way the money is collected. Moreover, I feel sorry for the check-in clerk who has to hear "Why do I have to pay the resort fee? I don't use those things" 100x a day

To the best of my knowledge, many (most?) Las Vegas hotels quote rates for two guests and charge for additional persons of any age. The additional person may or may not be an 'issue' at check-in, but that's entirely up to the hotel.

The majority of Las Vegas properties charge for Internet usage in the rooms.

Fifty dollars is high, but charging for a refrigerator isn't unusual. Remember, you're not comparing apples and apples. You're comparing a (higher-end) time share with a (higher-end) hotel room. Refrigerators aren't typical in Las Vegas rooms; hotels that provide them generally charge.
