....but it only took ONE carbolite bar to send me to the ladies room!!!!!

(I thought at 3 ww points I'd give it a try)

But it was pretty tasty!:)

I never read that and had 2 one day!!! I couldn't go out for hours!!

:) It doesn't have that effect on me. But, if it did, I would probably have one now and then anyway. (the milk chocolate is the best imho lol) :teeth:

Hmmmm... is that an approved weight-loss strategy?;)

How about exercise points- how many calories can you burn...

Sugar alcohols don't seem to have any effect on me. I'm one of the lucky ones and I love the dark chocolate so much :teeth:

If the sugar alcohols affect you, that means you're not absorbing them, and they probably have no effect on your blood sugar levels...

If, however, they don't affect you at all, your body may well be using the sugar alcohols just like real sugar.

Nativetxn - any chance you can test your blood sugar levels before, during and after eating the candy bars, just to make sure?

I doubt it's an "approved" weight loss strategy, but hey any port in a storm!:D

I'm pretty sure I got at least 2 activity points out of it too!!;) :p

They are delicious evil little chocolate nougat bars that will cause a "rumbly in your tumbly"!!!!!

I found them at Walmart.

Try the Atkins Endulgence Peanut butter cups, annie. They are scrummy :teeth:

dizneegirl As a matter of fact, I can check my blood sugar. The candy doesn't affect my husband either and I know they don't affect his blood sugar because he tests everyday about 3 times.

I'll just have to force myself to eat a candy bar now, for research purposes ;)

One candy bar doesn't effect me, I've never eaten two in a row but I have eaten two in one day before and none of the ill effects.

Gosh, I hope they don't affect my blood sugar. They don't knock me out of ketosis either, would that happen if it was raising my blood sugar?

They don't seem to effect me like they did when I first tried the Carbolite bars................but of course the first try was 2 for breakfast!!! (PMS)!!

I have about 3 per week.........but I feel like I want more and I think they are making it easier for me to cheat with other things.....I am hoping to stay away from them for a while!!

I don't know if the ingredients Maltitol or Sorbitol are in these Carbolite bars, but if one of them is, that's what causes the "effect". I tried some sugarless cookies a few years ago, and NEVER AGAIN!

You could hear my stomach "rumbling" and "roaring" from across the room! AND, I almost never left the bathroom, I was running so much. It was AWFUL!

They tasted good, but I cannot go through that any more. So, anytime I see those ingredients on something, I steer away from it. It's not worth it to me! It doesn't have to be excessive in some people's cases.

Enjoy them, though, if you can...:D
