While out at Best Buy today, I picked up the Princess & the Frog Wii game. WOW is all I can say and not in a good way. This is quite honestly the *WORST* Disney video game I have ever purchased. Half of the game is spent on a loading screen, the storyline is inconsistent and beyond elementary, and the animation and audio are spotty. If you are considering buying this game because, like me, you loved the movie, don't waste your money. It isn't worth a dime.

Maybe you are suppose to kiss the TV and it turns into this supper great game! :rotfl:

Sorry to hear that Nikki. :sad1:

You should have gotten Walk It Out. ::yes::

It is such a SHAME Disney cannot make a decent video game. My nieces and nephews love Disney and have a Wii and Nintendo DS's, but after wasting too much money on Disney games they never play because they stink, I now never ever buy them Disney games unless by some miracle there are good reviews on Amazon. The only that I know that was decent was the first Tinkerbell game. Apparently the 2nd one is terrible though. :sad2:

Disney just rushes out games to go along with whatever movie or TV is coming out or is popular. I don't think any thought is put into them except, "Get it out quick!" It makes me so mad.

we bought it for the DS for our 6 year old and it is her favourite game. It is one of the few that she can do herself.

"Epic Mickey" should be different. :goodvibes

I never buy video games that are based on a movie. They are usually slapped together quick to sell based on the movie and not the game play.

Video games based on movies, especially kids movies, are usually horrible. They're just made really quick to be released with the movie and make a buck. If you trade it in at like GameStop, you can get some credit towards something else.

we bought it for the pc at christmas. just loaded it today so we will see how it goes. my girls are only 3 and 6 so elementary isn't a problem here. i think it'll be fine for a year or so for them which is about all the interest they have in most things anyway. ToyStoryMania is an entirely different story...we all love that one on the Wii.

I am really excited about Epic Mickey, too, George.

While I totally realize that the majority of games based on movies are quickly put together to make an easy buck, I have bought others that were enjoyable. This one just seems to be the worst I have ever experienced. Just like dining reviews, I guess you have to experience it yourself in order to judge for sure. I just know that this won't be played again.

I agree that TSM is wonderful. :)

When was there a good Disney game tho? Especially more 'recently'. Too many lazy money making half baked movie tie ins.
In all honesty, Toy Story Mania is pretty poor too, it has been played twice since we got it!!

Like others have said tho, and I said in an earlier thread, Epic Mickey sure has potential :)

:goodvibes

Good Disney video games?

Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2

Disney's Magical Racing

Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse

Mickey Mania

Duck Tales

Chip n Dale's Rescue Rangers

Darkwing Duck

Aladdin

Those are really the best ones ever made.

I know they're 'Disney', but they're not really Disney, if you know what I mean :)

:goodvibes

Well yes and no.

Granted the game was developed by Square Ennix and not Disney, all of the characters are legit and they are represented in the light they should be. All of the voice work is done by either the original voice actors or their replacements...and it feels like Disney!

So I say it's a real Disney game. Personally
