The Worst and Best of Disney

Okey dokey DISers. Let's get the worst and best of Disney going and PLEASE remember these are only opinions. Some people hate NINE DRAGONS in China and I LOVED it! I'm just curious to see how we differ on our opinions in Disney, so let's list the worst in RESORTS, RESTAURANTS, RIDES, SHOWS, PARADES, PARKS, and maybe an OTHER catergory.

If you don't have a worst then don't worry about it, just list your best okay?

RESORTS: BEST---SHADES OF GREEN
I don't have a worst because I've only stayed at two of the resorts and I loved both SoG and ASMu. I picked SoG as the best because the price for a deluxe CANNOT be beat.

RESTAURANTS: BEST---HOLLYWOOD BROWN DERBY WORST---SAN ANGEL INN (the food was awful! however the atmosphere was spectacular and I may visit again just because of that)

RIDES: BEST---(in each park) SPLASH MOUNTAIN, SPACESHIP EARTH, KILIMANJARO SAFARI, AND ROCK-N-ROLLERCOASTER
WORST---SPACE MOUNTAIN & DINOSAUR (I don't really have a worst in EPCOT or The STUDIOS simply because I like them all in EPCOT and I like them all at The Studios.

PARADES: BEST---TAPESTRY OF NATIONS ( I miss that soooooooo much!)
WORST---None ( I haven't seen them all so I can't judge)

SHOWS: BEST: FESTIVAL OF THE LION KING WORST: THE TIKI ROOM

PARK: BEST---MK and EPCOT....(sorry, can't keep it to one) There is not worst park in my opinion, but I can do without the water parks as I live right here in FL on the beach.

I think that should do it for now. If you come up with any other catergories just let me know.

RESORTS
Best = Caribbean Beach Resort, I think it's romantic and quiet and has everything we need for a relaxed vacation

RESTAURANTS
Best = Brown Derby! I love the food and atmosphere
Worst = Whispering Canyon. The food was over cooked, over sauced, dry, the place was loud and I hated being scream at and listening to the wait staff scream at others through dinner.

RIDES
Best = Great Movie Ride. I just love it. That or Haunted Mansion.
Worst ?

SHOWS
Best = It's Tough to be a Bug. Philharmagic wasn't open when we were there.
Worst = Can the Living Seas be considered a show?

PARADES
Best = Whatever the name of the nighttime one is in the MK. l
Worst ?

PARKS
Best = MK
Worst?

OTHER
Best snack = Chocoate Covered Strawberry at Ghiradelli
Best PI = Adventurer's Club at PI
Best water park Blizzard Beach because I haven't been to Typhoon Lagoon!

Ok I'll give it a go. (the worst are hardly the 'worst' because nothing can be THAT bad @ disney )

RESORTS
Best = I've never actually stayed here, but I've visited a few times, and I *love* the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

RESTAURANTS
Best = Spoodles
Worst = don't think I've had a terrible meal @ disney world.

RIDES
Best = Kilimonjaro Safari (Can you tell I have an animal kingdom theme goin?)
Worst = I know I'll get yelled @ for this, but.... small world

SHOWS
Best = It's Tough to be a Bug.
Worst = the new tiki room

PARADES
Best = Animal Kingdom Mickey's Jammin Jungle Parade

Best = Animal Kingdom

Best = Boardwalk Villas! DVC rocks! Gotta love those 1 or 2-bedroom studios!
Worst = Ummmm...I don't know if I have one...

RESTAURANTS
Best = I don't know if I can pick one, so how about two? Sci-Fi Dine-In for the atmosphere and hmmmm.... I can't pick one! They all have good food!! The list would go on forever...
Worst = Don't know if I have one. We went to Prime Time Cafe once, but our waiter didn't get into the whole thing, so it kinda ruined it, even though the food was great! But we're going to try it again this next trip!

RIDES
Best = TOT. For the theming. Enough said.
Worst = Uhhh.... I don't know if I have one.

SHOWS
Best = Philharmagic.
Worst = ITTBAB. I hate bugs.

PARADES
Best = I miss the one they used to have in Epcot. Tapestry of Nations or something like that.
Worst = Nope...

PARKS
Best = MGM, Epcot, MK
Worst = I just don't like AK

Well, I'm a novice at WDW, but here I go.

Resort: Only stayed at POR so I can't compare.

Restaurant: Best. Garden Grill. (Character interaction was fantastic, food was good, view ok).
Worst: Food court at POR. (Mainly for slow service and lack of food choices late at night).

Rides in each park: Best. K Safari, Splash Mountain,
Worst: All of Mickeys Toontown Fair. After going to Kings Island on Sunday, I can see why KI won an award for best kids theming. They built their area with Nicklelodeon and Scooby Doo themes with a lot of roller coasters just for kids. I like Goofy's Barnstormer, but my kids need more of that. Also need more theming for boys. Kings Island has more to offer for boys < 7 years old.

Shows: Best. Lion King
Worst. Probably Wishes. I was to the right of the castle and the acoustics were horrible. I will try to get a better spot next time.

Parades: Best. MK afternoon parade (can't remember the name)
Worst: None

Park: Best = MK.

Others:
Best CM - The one whom gave my daughter two pins for one because she couldn't make up her mind about what pin she wanted. Theat made her day.

Best Character - Wendy Darling. Kids warmed up to her, and she was chatty (in a good way).

Best Park to stroll through at dusk - Epcot. It's beautiful at night.

Best restaurant....Artist Point...worst....SciFi (just didn't like it at all)

Best Show...Lion King worst...Tarzan Rocks

Best Parade...MVMCP pararde worst....MGM parade of stars

Best attraction....RnRC worst....jungle cruise

Best park...MK worst...not a bad park, just my least favorite..AK

All that being said, the only things in my worst list that I actually would never do again are Tarzan Rocks and SciFi Diner.

Best resort....VWL(We own through DVC, so thats hands down for us) Worst....dont really have one yet, we have only stayed at All Star Sports and OKW on other occasions and liked both of them

Best Restaurant....Le Cellier.....Worst....Sci-Fi, we had heard so many good things about it, I guess it wasnt bad, we were just dissapointed

Best Show....Indiana Jones.....Worst....Pochontas and her forest friends....wasnt a bad show, just a little dissapointing

Best Parade...MVMCP parade......Worst, havent seen a bad one yet

Best attraction.......Splash Mt......Worst......Its a small World, I know its a classic, and I would be sad to see it go

Best Park........MK....Worst.....AK, dont dislike it, just last on our list

Best = Boardwalk Villas - Home Sweet Home
Worst = Villas of Wilderness Lodge. Too dark for my tastes


RESTAURANTS
Best = LeCellier - always a great meal
Worst = Whispering Canyon. Use to love it but lately it hasn't been up to par.

RIDES
Best = Mission Space
Worst = Aladdins Magic Carpet (I love Dumbo but this is just a rip off of that).


SHOWS
Best = Mickey's Philharmagic
Worst = Tiki Room Under New Management - Bring back the original!

PARADES
Best = Tapestry of Nations
Worst = Spectromagic - don't hate it but it can't compare to Main Street Electrical Parade

PARKS
Best = MK & Epcot - just can't choose between them
Worst = MGM

Worst = Contemporary Garden Wing (Let's just say it's my "least favorite!")

Best = California Grill

Best = Can I say, "hoop de doo review?" THe food is so-so but the show is great!
