Hello All ~ I've been thinking....a lot....and I want to fix the world. So I sat down this afternoon and wrote four wishes for the world. I'm going to send these four wishes to everyone I know and hopefully they make it around the world and we all do our share. Here are the Wishes:
The World Wishes:
· No one goes hungry
· There is enough medical care for everyone
· Violence, especially towards children, ends
· Happiness is the norm
What are you doing to grant the world these wishes?
What am I doing to grant the world these wishes?
* donate food to local food banks
* sponsor an 8-year old little girl in Rwanda [thru World Vision]
* donate money to the Canadian Red Cross
* donate money to Cancer, Heart & Stroke and other Foundations
* work with children and teach them about how they can make the world a better place
* teach my children about caring about others, use positive thinking and positive actions to help as many people as they can
* help co-ordinate the Heart & Stroke "Jump Rope For Heart" in school
* volunteer yoga teacher for children
* pray and use positive thinking and love
What I am still trying to figure out:
* how to teach people not to harm others, especially children AND do this with love as my motivator not anger or fear
* how to teach people about medical issues and keep themselves safe and healthy
My future plans:
* instead of gifts for adult family members on birthdays and Christmas, I am donating money in their names; these foundations are near to my heart;
[Ryan's Well http://www.ryanswell.ca/ A young Canadian boy created this awesome foundation that builds wells for communities without water
World Vision did you know that you can buy a goat and other animals for families who need them?
Canadian Red Cross http://www.redcross.ca/article.asp?id=025367&tid=001 One Million children die of malaria each year. One $7 mosquito net can save a child's life.
I am so grateful for my life, family & friends.
Blessings, Sandra
