I'm kinda nervous about these changes too. I just got my pally up to 80 and she's dual specced Ret/Holy. Only have healed a few times on her so I'm nervous anyway about it (first time healing) so now what I know about it, which is very limited at best, is now going to be completely changed! Ack!

DD21 finally gave in and bought a new laptop last month in preparation. She works until 10 tonight so here's hoping it doesn't take her until dawn waiting on DL issues...

So did anyone manage to get in last night? I got in about 8pm E time and started speccing...hardest part is there is not a lot of info on the web as to what spec is good or not.. Main complaint in trade...Glyphs...followed by missing stats and changes. I messed around for about an hour, did a random heroic, then logged for the night...I will play more with it today I guess.

I got in from my husband's computer just long enough to spec, play around with reforging a bit, and chat with some guilies. I didn't try running any heroics or anything because I can't stand his configuration and didn't want to mess with restoring all my bars. I run a CTMOD user interface, he runs the default, so when I log onto his computer I'm missing half my bars.

My big complaint so far is having to spend $$$$ to get everything rebalanced. With all the armor pen on gear changing to crit, I was like 4% over the crit cap and had to reforge and change out a bunch of gems to get that back down, plus with all my red gems going yellow I had to adjust things to get my meta bonus back. On the plus side, I'm getting socket bonuses on several items now that I didn't before, because a ton of the ICC rogue gear has all yellow sockets and prior to yesterday there wasn't a yellow gem worth using.

I still haven't even logged onto my tank. I'm more nervous about that than my rogue, and I don't even know where to start with my druid. Those I'll have to research, but I've been running the rogue since Molten Core and I think I can figure her out on my own.

I didn't bother trying to respec or anything because I really need to do some reading and check out my stat changes more closely.

I finally broke down and got the dual spec since it's so cheap now. It looks like, as a rogue, that assassination is going to be THE way to go. It'll be nice to have both options (A/C) now at least to compensate for weapon/gear upgrades (before it just made more sense to respec, as a rogue).

I've been reading that assassination is putting out better numbers right now, but I'm still resisting the change. I hated my mutilate build! I've been combat forever and I'm hoping that the performance will be close enough that I can stay that way, but I did set up an assassinate build on my off-spec just to check it out.

Nice..yeah the gem changes really got me...I was reading the spell hit cap for Boomkins was in the 430's or something like that...Looking at my info..I am in the 600's Way over the cap, so some adjusting will have to be made...Thank goodness hubby is a JC, so it shouldnt cost me to much..The changes in losing spell power has really rocked my world...thats all I ever have known..now..its gone..

What ticked me off, is I just borrowed 4k gold from hubby to get epic flight on my druid...patch drops, and the price is now 500 gold for it... I was NOT pleased..DH is over the moon, cause after I pay him back, he will be able to get 310% for himself...GRR..LOL

Tonight I will spec my lock...I am not sure if I am going back to Destro or make the switch to Demonology..Hubby said the mage changed a lot too, and now Fire is the best raid spec out there...We have an ICC10 planned for tonight, but I bet it wont go off due to our MT trying to get used to Blood Tanking..LOL

Well, now. this was painful.

I had to reinstall from scratch. That took 3 hours including all the patches. Then I wake up and my whole world is different. I found Blessing of Might in 4 spots on my action bars, and my action bars were half empty.

I need coffee before I can log in again... Lots of coffee.

Oy. So my healing spec on my pally. Do I need to stack Spirit now too? I had only been going for Intellect all this time. Anyone have any thoughts/suggestions on this?

My hunter friend is really not happy with his changes. His dps went WAY WAY down.

Only three hours? Lucky you! I can't find any of the CDs for the game and a full download and install is taking forever! And I do mean forever, as in I started it before bed last night and it is just now downloading the newest patch, 11 hours later. Our DSL speed is just fine for playing, usually under 200 latency, but even so these big downloads seem to drag so bad.

I can't wait to get in on my new comp but I know I'm going to have to redo everything because my UI was so custom and half my add-ons haven't been updated yet.

I had to do the DL and install last patch..I couldnt find my Lich King DVD...I plan to buy 1 copy of Cata and do the online for the 2nd acct..we only need 1 copy..now if I could talk DH into the Collector Edition..

My addons are borked too...I am lost without recount..DBM was updated and running great though..I tend to not use many bar type ones, so I am ok with that..

But so far so good with the changes. I think it is funny that animals get flagged like PvP if they are quest targets.

OTOH, the PVE is now for the dirt stupid folks... so I qualify.

Finally, I can fly, as the requirements of Northrend are 68 for everybody, not just people who have level 80's.... I have 80s, but on other servers. So I am now flying at level 73 in Northrend... and it only cost 500g instead of the 1000g it used to cost. The BAD PART - for me - is that I had already paid 5000g for epic flying, and now it only costs 1000g..... can you say OUCH?

Okay, I had to log out... They massively nerfed me! I was putting out 12K in ICC25 last week; today I'm doing 3.9K in a heroic. My husband's 5th alt, a lock in mostly Naxx/Ulda gear, is better dps than me right now.

And our guild leader wants to run our scheduled ICC tonight.

Yeah, I'm getting about 50/50 odds on whether or not I crash if I try to go into an instance right now and the background DLer is still running.

Most of my crashes are while flying, and it seems to be worse if I touch anything while flying - other than chat. Like, while flying I clicked my guild button --- instant crash.

I have to figure out Holy Power as a pally. Apparently I am clueless there so far.

BTW, on the Whisperwind server there was, and I think still is, a guild called the Mickey Mouse Club... has 500 members, and was written about in Beckett's MMO magazine.

Haven't played in a couple months (summer and the excessive yardwork), but I have started playing again. I don't have anything about the mid-50s, but will eventually get to enjoy the new content.

Oy.... no less than 10 crashes today, with almost all of them while flying. I had really hoped to play tonight but the crashes outweighed any fun I might have had.... We were supposed to do a guild run of Kara tomorrow night - just for the achievement - but I can't see it happening if it stays this buggy.

Yeah, it was my spec and rotation. I've been combat from the day I rolled my rogue and it is taking me a while to get used to assassination. I changed up one glyph and a couple of talent points, then spent a good chunk of the afternoon with a target dummy trying to figure out a rotation. And mutilate is a fun spec to play, a little more involved than combat. I think once I get the hang of it I'll be happy with it; I'm still working out the kinks but I set a personal best on Festergut 10man tonight even though my daggers are a bit lower level than my combat sword and axe.
