The Woman Report- Update 4/24 Final Thoughts p. 74

That is so cute with LA and her lipstick. Brookie loves putting on my blush and some lipstick. I don't mind at all. I love painting her fingernails and toenails too!

The "monkey" is actually a gorilla and is from the movie "Tarzan". I don't remember the name but it was the one that Rosie O'Donnell voiced. The bears are from Brother Bear.

Those pictures of the kids with the characters are absolutely priceless! Don't you just love it when your kids' faces light up?? :goodvibes

Linnie, those beautiful blue eyes show up red quite often don't they? I thought I would do a little photo editing, I hope you don't mind:

you beat me too it.

Linnie great pics.

I’m getting ready when LA comes in and says, “I wish I would’ve brought my lipstick!” :cutie: This makes me giggle a bit and she asks if she can have some make up so I give her some. She informs me I don’t need to put it on her, “I know how this works,” she says. At 6 years old…:sad2:

:

Hey Linnie! Your daughter reminds me so much of mine when she was little. We took our first trip to Disney when Kelly was three, and she always insisted on "refreshing her lipstick" after every meal!

WhatwouldPattyDukeDo-MakeupTime.jpg

Time flies by so fast, Kelly is 22 now! This week she is in Orlando with friends, but next Wednesday we are taking a "Mother, Daughter, Cousin" trip to Disneyland, so I am really enjoying your trip report. :thumbsup2

Great photos of the kids! I agree the POTC queue at wdw is better.
Add that to the POTC at DLR, and you have perfection!

Indy rules! We didn't get to do Dinosaur. Nova freaked out in the queue and we had to bail out. Hoping to do it in "09".

Love Matterhorn! Sorry Buzz is getting old and dosen't like to be bumped around. Matterhorn was my Nova's first coaster at 3 yrs old. :lovestruc

Space MTN rocks! Haven't done the one in WDW. I don't think we would enjoy the seating. So we passed.

Here she is:

:goodvibes She wanted it short so we went short. It curls under nice but ya can't really tell that in the picture.

Oiy, I'm so behind on this report!!

Maybe I'll just print out the entire thing and read in on the ride down to FL!!!

Sorry, Linnie, I'll get up to speed somehow!

Kathy

Don't let it be said that I don't keep my promises... I just got completely
caught up! Whew!

Gotta go now, Tricia is pestering me to take her clothes shopping for Florida....

Cutie! :cutie:

The pictures from two pages back died before I could see them.

THAT is a perfect picture

Aw, thank you!

Great pictures, it looks like you had some great character interaction, especially from Meeko(the raccoon).

Meeko was awesome! He made the whole meal!! :goodvibes

Wow, those are some good pics. LG is having fun and MB looks like he was having a good time too. Such cute kids.

Thank you!! They had a lot of fun!! :goodvibes

I don't wear make up too often so mine lasts forever-LA has her own now. Got 2 sets for her birthday. I love painting LA's toes and fingers too! In fact she had me do it the other night for her. A kids hair cutting place just opened up down the street from us and they do kid mani's & pedi's. I want to get her to do those. This place does b-day parties too. She wants hers at Chuckee Cheeze's of course, but I'm going to try & talk her into inviting a few friends and have a beauty shop day!

I do love it when my kids light up-priceless!! :goodvibes

That is such a great picture of your daughter!!! Hard to believe she's 22-that picture looks like it was taken yesterday!! :goodvibes Time really flies. My mom told me once kids get in school, it really goes fast and boy was she right! Have an awesome trip!!

I don't blame Nova for freaking out in the queue. My kids don't like that ride.

I loved Matterhorn. :goodvibes

Pass on the SM in WDW. I hear they'll refurbish it soon and I hope that's true. The one in DL was so much better!!!

Linnie, she looks adorable!!

Thanks Tracy!! She wanted it even shorter, but I made her go with this length.

Don't let it be said that I don't keep my promises... I just got completely
caught up! Whew!

Kathy

Wow-I still need to get caught up on yours! :wizard:

Clothes shopping for Florida.... one of my very favorite activities of all time!!! :cloud9:

She's so adorable.

Thank you!!

Cutie!

That's weird-I wonder what happened?? :confused3

I'm not gonna finish this before my surgery. Dang it-that was my goal. Oh well. Here's another installment:

Buzz Loses His Temper With Lin :headache:

Lunch time and we’re hungry. Buzz makes an off hand comment about Pecos Bill’s café in WDW, which puts me in the mood for burgers! So when he leads us into this counter service place to see the menu, I’m not impressed. The only food I can eat in there is fried chicken and that’s if I pull the skin off. No burgers of any sort. So I protest a bit. This was not met with the kindness I’d hoped for. Buzz gets ticked and storms out of the restaurant and snaps, “Then you pick where we’re going to eat.”

Trying to back pedal, I tell him that place was fine. I didn’t need to eat. I had a big breakfast-that buffet. I was hoping that would help him, but it didn’t. “We’re ALL going to eat! So you decide.”

I tried to tell him again, it didn’t bother me not to eat, but nope. He wasn’t having it. After all the carbs I ate last night, I didn’t need to eat. Didn’t matter. So I quick grabbed a park map and found the Hungry Bear. It’s counter service with all sorts of food. :thumbsup2 Buzz was still ticked though....

We were all in line and I told Buzz I was going to find a table for me and the kids to sit and wait for him. He’s still a bit sore so he grumbles, he’ll never be able to find us. I get us a table right in the front, very easy to see. I want him happy again. When he gets our food, I jump up and start waving like I’m a hitchhiker trying to flag down a ride. This makes him smile a little. He comes over with burgers, chicken strips, and drinks. Ahhhh. The meal turned out good and everyone was happy. :goodvibes

This poor child behind us though. He was about 4 and he tipped his chair over while he was in it. It made a loud bang. He spent the whole meal crying. I don't know if he was hurt or just scared. I felt bad for him though...

Next we rode the train. I didn’t like this too much. First of all, it took forever for the train to get to the station and when it did, it just wasn’t that much fun. However, Buzz loved it. Go figure.... :rolleyes1 We get off at Toon Town. The kids play on the Chip and Dale’s Treehouse. When they were tiny, they’d play there for hours. Now it was 10 mins and they were done. So we ride Gadget’s Go Coaster. That was fun. Kind of like Goofy’s Barnstormer but a hair longer and it squirts water at you. You just get a tiny spray on you-you don’t really get wet.

We were ready to head back. On the way back through Downtown Disney, I spy a vendor selling pop. They’ve got my favorite: Sprite Zero! I beg Buzz to buy some so we get 4 bottles and a cotton candy for LA. :goodvibes

We head back up to change and go swimming again. I’m hoping for no more life guard trouble, but alas, ‘twas not to be. :confused3

It was an exact repeat of the day before, only this time, before LeeAndra could go down the slide even one time, they stopped her and she came back over to us. I asked what was wrong and she said they wouldn’t let her go down the slide. We weren’t even settled in our spot yet and already thing were heating up. I start in about how stupid this is and Buzz gets up and goes to see what the problem was.

Apparently today, anyone going down the slide had to take a swim test. But after "speaking with Buzz," they excused LA from it because Buzz told them she could swim. And not in a nice way. I’d had enough. I didn’t even want to be at this pool anymore. There was another pool behind it with no slide and no lifeguards and I wanted to go there, but Buzz said no, we’d tough it out. He tried to get Trey to go down the slide, but he didn’t cooperate.

I tried to warn Buzz but he didn’t listen Trey got halfway down again and started screaming. The lifeguard yells through his cone to “Go down the slide please.” As if that would help. I actually smiled when he did that. Trey looks like a typical kid, but obviously he's not. It's always interesting to me when people try to interact with him. This lifeguard had no idea Trey has a disability so it was just amusing to me when he tells Trey to go down the slide. I wanted to tell him, "Yeah, that's not doing any good." :lmao: But I refrained. :rolleyes1

Buzz went to the bottom of the steps, trying to convince Trey to come down and finally he jumped in the water like I did the first day to get him to come down. So we gave up on Trey going down the slide. For good.:headache: We know he can do it, he can even swim, but it's a confidence thing, I guess. He'll get braver on his own and in his own time....

I was done with the whole slide itself and the lifeguards. I know they are there for our safety, but it just seemed they let their “power” go to their head. We’ve never encountered this at WDW. The LG’s are always friendly, nice, they don’t bark at you, they sometimes bring out toys for the kids or even play with the kids. I make up my mind right then we are not buying into the DGC DVC-just because of the lifeguards. I love the whole DGC and it has many perks. I’d love to be a DVC owner there, but I hate that pool situation. It’s bad enough that I can’t justify spending the money.

We go back up to the room.

Coming up: Buzz's napping is out of control

And as a side note, Trey's special education teacher just won an award for being an excellent teacher!!! We are so thrilled for her-and she so deserves this award!!! :goodvibes
