I never thought of that-it is pretty weird the way they're the same, but different!

That is so great that he can take the time to stay with you. I'm sure he will take good care of his Linnie. From reading both of your TR's he seems like a great dad and husband, especially to plan all your trips for you. Take care.

I hear you about the gummy bears--every time I have tried to do low carb, it just makes me crazy craving something sweet! I even tried sugar-free gummies one time and man, were they nasty! The texture is just wrong, kind of slimy and melty, blech!

So, if Buzz is doing low carb, too, why didn't he agree that you all needed to find somewhere else to eat? Didn't he need a hunk of meat, too? Or was he cheating that day? I think he was just grumpy from lack of carbs and jealous that you got all the gummy bears!

The kids are so cute--I love the picture of them in the teacups!

I found some good low carb candies that taste pretty good. The peanut butter cups have kind of a "slick" texture, but they're good. They help keep that craving away. Sugar free gummies do not sound good!!

Buzz is off the low carb. He eats the food I cook-I found some great substitutes for carbs (pizza with the crust made from cream cheese, soy flour instead of white flour, turnips instead of potatoes, cauliflower chopped to be used for rice and the list goes on) but he totally snacks on everything in sight. My body just can't handle carbs-I blow up like a balloon so I'm in it for the long haul-it makes me sick to eat carbs. Buzz complains he's gaining weight back. Gee, I wonder why? All those cookies and stuff!

On a side note my cousin just lost 90 pounds from having gastric bypass. She looks great! That's the cousin who didn't like Buzz when she met him and wanted to beat him up.

Beautiful pics, Linnie. I can't wait to meet your kids in October. I think I wrote on another thread that my Lauren is already talking about LeeAndra like they're BFFs already! It's hilarious to hear her, since they haven't even met yet!

Good luck on the surgery and make Buzz wait on you hand and foot! It's about time you get some pampering, right?

That is so cute!! LeeAndra will love Lauren. Her friend across the street is named Lauren so she'll really like that!! I just cut LA's hair a little shorter and she really reminds me of your Lauren with her hair like that-it's about the same style!

I would love to be pampered! But it probably won't come from Buzz!!

I've had my mom visiting, so I was behind! Love the pictures, as always. I agree with all your ride assessments. But, I have spent way more days at DL, even though it's been longer, so that it's MK where I wander around wondering where things are...

DL was a little confusing to me-I'm so used to MK! It was so neat to see the difference between the two!

Lin I am a little behind here but I love the pics, the tea cup in particular.

I always take care of Lin. When she was pregnant with Trey and on bed rest, I purchased her the lightest vacuum money could buy and she didn't even thank you!

The really sad thing is this is true. He was so happy with that light vacuum. I am NOT vacuuming this time, Buzz. I gotta listen to the doctor's orders.

Buzz takes three naps.

I know Buzz was getting over the flu, but sheesh. He slept at the pool and now he’s sleeping in the room. I grab my book and read. Pretty soon he gets up and says, “Put your book down and play with us.” So I do. The kids and I are watching tv and laughing. I look over after awhile and he’s sleeping again. So much for playing! Three naps.

I give LA a bath and Buzz and I get ready to go out. Tonight we’re going to Napa Rose. I like the name already-reminds me of wine!! Buzz gets the kids food from the counter service restaurant at the hotel: Whitewater Snacks. Chicken strips and a hot dog. Yum!

The sitter gets there and tonight she’s complaining about how long the drive is to the hotel and again, how long of a walk it was to our room. Yeah, she’s an optimist.

We leave and do the same drill as the night before. We get a wine from the bar and head outside by the fire. We’re having a very pleasant evening and before we know it, it’s time to eat. Napa Rose, here we come!

This was a nice place too, not as fancy feeling as Steakhouse 55. We’re seated and order a bottle of wine and place our order. This is supposed to be comparable to California Grille at the Contemporary, but it’s not really. We love CG-Napa Rose is nice, but it doesn’t really compare in our opinion. I had a steak. Buzz had something.

After dinner, we go back to the bar and have a wine. When we’re done, we go to the gift shop and load up with treats for the kids and nail clippers for Buzz. Yeah, gotta trim those toenails. No gummy bears for Lin tonight!

One thing we learned on this trip was LeeAndra still talks in her sleep. She did when she was a little toddler and she still does. Tonight during the night, apparently, Trey had taken her ball and wouldn’t give it to her. She was yelling, “Give me my ball Trey!!” She was pretty ticked off.

I’m not exactly a picnic to sleep with either. I got a sinus infection several weeks ago that I can’t seem to shake and it has left me with a snore. I even wake myself up at night from snoring so loud, and unfortunately, I wake up Buzz. He’s not too happy about it and I can’t say I blame him. I try using some of his Breathe Rite strips, but they’re starting to tear my skin off when I remove them, which makes me bleed on the bridge of my nose. However, to keep peace, I continue using them. Buzz needs his sleep.

Trey isn't fun to bunk with either. He keeps ripping covers away from me and soon I have none. I have the scratchy bedspread. The next morning, I see he’s got all the covers and most are on the floor. Buzz is delighted with his bed partner. Me, not so much.

My entire family makes night noises. One night my mom made this really frightening noise, I thought she was dying. I went over to make sure she was okay and that is the moment she chose to wake up, with me standing over her all creepy like in the dark. I talk in my sleep which makes me nervous when sharing a room with somebody, I am afraid of what I will say!

Well I got a small sunburn on my nose so it made it extra sensitive I guess. At home, now, they don't pull the skin off but they did on vacation. Yowch. Not gud.

I would love to take 3 naps someday! Well actually it wouldn't be good-I'd never be able to sleep at night. Buzz seems to have no problem with that either.

That is hilarious!! Did that scare her to have you standing over her like that? One time we took my mom on vacation and she was getting over being sick. I swear when she was snoring it sounded like a respirator in the hospital. Very bizarre. I woke up because she was so loud and I was just cracking up. I'd never heard anything like that before. Our windows were all fogged up in our room so I wrote "Lola snores" all over them. She didn't like that too much.

I had this friend in high school who would get up and eat while she was asleep. Her mom would find her at their table around midnight sitting there with her eyes closed eating. Sometimes her mom said my friend would stand up on her bed and swear a blue streak in the night. Really cussing someone out. Shaking her finger and everything. I always thought that was odd....

See Buzz is lucky-I will use the Breathe Rites for him! Actually now that I"m home, I got the correct size. Buzz uses size large for himself and on vacation, I had to use his. They're way too big for my small schnozz so I got the right size and that seems to work better. I lay down and can't breathe through my dang nose now. I'm not sick-I just have this weird sinus crap that I can't seem to shake. I'm hoping next week when they give me an IV, they'll put antibiotics in it and that'll take care of that problem too. I would see an ENT, but it's too close to my surgery now. Stoopid Lin-I should've done something a month ago. Oh well....

We went on a trip to the World a few years ago and let some friends and their kids crash in our room the 1st night. We got in late, had a 1 bedroom villa and didn't want to make them pay for a room. There were 5 of them sleeping in the main sitting area at OKW and they were ALL snoring. It was something to behold...

She was in the bathtub and she put the bubbles on her face. I asked her, "Oh my goodness-you have a beard-did you turn into a man???" She says, "No, I'm still a woman."

A woman at 6 years old....
