It was a dark and stormy night, NOT! It’s Friday, January 23, 2004 and it’s up and at em to go to the Airport to catch our flight to MCO! Being the overplanner, even though our flight does not leave until 10:15 a.m., we arrive 3 hours early. Never know how long those lines are!

It’s the first time I’ve flown Air Canada since 1996 and DD’s first. I have electronic tickets, which I have never had before. Worked great until the terminal did not recognize my ticket! I used Air Miles! I summoned an AC Employee who assisted in our check in! I don’t know why people complain, I felt they were great! But then again, I still heard people complaining regarding long lines and having to wait. Get there early and wait by the gate! Of course bring things to keep everybody occupied!LOL I promised that I would let 55,000 of my closest friends know that I like Air Canada!

We are little delayed but nothing too unbearable! They handed out free earphones for whatever they were going to show on the monitors. Not a movie, but at least it wasn’t repeats of things that we have seen over and over and over again! I was only expecting drinks but to my amazement we had a choice of Chicken or Pasta! We ordered each of one so that we both could try! We agreed that the Pasta was better! All in all a very happy and uneventful flight!

MCO here we come!

We arrive, grab our bags and head straight to the Disney Store! After a quick fix we go to the Hyatt to check in! It’s just after 2:00 and I was not expecting our room to be ready but it was! We head up to unload everything and then back down to drop off valuables into the Safety Boxes! It’s a quick hop, skip and a jump to Alamo. Grab a car! And it’s off SHOPPING! We had plans to hit a few malls but decided at this late time to only go to our fav, Orlando Premier Outlet Mall! It’s a good thing, we were meeting our good friends at approximately 7:00 back at the Hyatt! We finish our shopping and go back. Unfortunately, due to FAA regulations, you cannot leave your car at the Hyatt without Valet Parking! Park, head upstairs to off load our finds and meet up and head over to AKL for dinner at Jiko!

It is the first time for our friends, so I ask if Sally was working. She was but we would have to wait awhile. We had Sally in August and she was fantastic and explaining everything! We go exploring and see which animals are outside, but for some reason, when Ken took the beeper, it went out of control. We headed back inside and it was time to be seated! As usual she was fantastic! DD had her “Steakie”, I ordered the Bass! Mouth Watering on both counts! Sorry to the DisFriends we were to meet at the Hyatt but if you’ve ever eaten at Jiko, you understand that you cannot rush!

We head on back and luckily I dropped Ken and Cindy off! The woman at the Alamo return for some reason marked me down at not filling the tank when it was obvious that I did! Soon they straightened that out and up we went to catch a few zzzzzz’s. But of course, needed to repack all the goodies from our afternoon shopping excursion! Put the labels on the suitcases and placed them by the door so that they would be ready to be placed outside in the morning!

Next Stop, the Magic!

Scratch,

After you picked up the car from Alamo, did you have to pay to park it back at the Hyatt?

Thanks,

Scott

$4.00 but I think that there is a $6.00 charge if you valet it overnight!

Hi Scratch! Nice to see another GTA poster on the boards. We're flying Air Canada on February 28 to leave on our Western Cruise. Most experiences with them have been positive, but they really struggled with their Customer Service skills during the Blackout last August.

Cancelling all their flights and then using bullhorns to tell passengers that there will be NO assistance in the airport; call
Air Canada reservations by phone to reschedule just didn't cut it with too many people.

Their inflight service has always been good, though, and they're usually close to ontime. I'm counting on them at 7:15 on the 28th!

Thanks for your report; I'm off to read the next one.

Hi Missisaugamom, I will be awaiting your report! We are doing the Western next year!

Happy Cruising!
