Welcome to my July 2016 Pre-Trip report!
I'm a bit new to having an account on the Disboards but I've lurked through trip reports for a little bit now after my mom told me about the boards.

So basically, I'm going to do the when and where now and in the next installment, I'll be introducing to you the cast of this whole extravaganza.

When

We will be leaving home on July 14th but arriving at Disney World on early on the 15th and will be staying until the 22nd.

Where

We're staying at the Yacht Club and I couldn't be more excited!

(sorry this update is so late, super busy day today but im finally updating while watching Game of Thrones)
Who


This is me! My name is Madyn or Maddie and i love all things Disney. I'm 15 years old, will be turning 16 while in disney, and this will be my 18th trip. I'm most excited to see Soarin Over the World, which will be open when we're there, and taking a million pictures as always. I love the princesses, star wars and marvel (i even painted my magic band last year to have Captain America's shield on it) so basically, just everything.


This lovely girl on the left is Taylor. She's 18 years old and will be turning 19 while we're there. This is going to be her 20th trip and i think that's pretty impressive. She's most excited for, and i quote from the texts she just sent me, mickey waffles and the pirate ride water. Taylor loves disney as much as i do, and honestly, the room we share when she isn't at college is covered in Disney memorabilia as is her dorm room.


This little princess here is Avery. She's six currently but will turn seven in two weeks. She absolutely loves all of the princesses and Mickey and the gang. She's also an avid Disney jr. fan and loves Sofia the First, Doc McStuffins, ect. On this trip, she's most excited to see all of the characters and ride Test Track. This will be her 7th trip.


Next to me here is my amazing plane companion, mickey bar fan, my lovely mother. We always sit next to each other on the plane like in this photo from last July and were discussing our love for Mickey's Premium Bars a few minutes ago. She went to Disney a few times when she was younger and then took my dad there before they had kids and then passed along the Disney love to my sisters and i. This will be her 23rd trip and she's most excited for new soarin, the frozen ride in Epcot, hanging out at the Yacht Club pool again and going back to the parks.



Lastly, this guy right here is my dad. He claims to not be as Disney obsessed as the rest of us but he totally is. He loves Festival of the Lion King and Soarin (despite hating motion simulators). This will be his 21st trip and is looking forward to the new Soarin. I sense a trend with us...

In my next update, I'll be saying what our current ADRs are and updating on any other plans we have thus far.

Hello again! In this update, I decided to post about our current dining reservations since Disney food, in my opinion, is the best.​

So this is all we have so far, however, we aren't nearly done booking things and planning so I'll be posting updates once they happen. Also, today i ordered a custom phone case off Shutterfly to have a Disney picture on it so I'll post a picture when it arrives.

You have been to Disney more times than your age! That's awesome! I only went to Disney once as a kid (unfortunately for me, my family felt that once-in-a-lifetime was enough! lol). I didn't go again until I was 27 with my own little boy. We are staying at the BC in October. I can't wait to check out Stormalong Bay!

I love Disney, so no complaints there, my whole family loves it though so that's the only place we vacation to besides weekend trips to like Cape Cod or New Hampshire since they're local. We've stayed at the Beach Club twice and Yacht Club twice and oh my god, Stormalong Bay is amazing. Probably my favorite part of the hotels.

Is there any reason you all chose Yacht Club again? I haven't stayed at either, but picked Beach Club since it's had a recent remodel. Wondering if I made the right choice between the two!

Honestly, I liked the Beach Club more but it was fully booked during our trip so we went with the Yacht Club since it's just as nice. You made the right choice though, you'll love it.

So today was exciting - we picked the magic bands! My dad picked red, my mom picked orange, Avery picked purple and Taylor picked pink. I, however, am getting the special edition "Summer Awakens" BB-8 magic band!

Also I saw the live action Jungle Book today and I loved it so much, it was unreal. I'd recommend!

EXCITING UPDATE!
We officially began to chose fast passes! So far we have...

• Turtle Talk with Crush, Soarin, and Spaceship Earth the first day (July 15th)
• Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan's Flight, and Thunder Mountain for July 16th
• Journey Into Imagination with Figment, Soarin, and Spaceship Earth on July 17th
• Toy Story Mania, Frozen Sing-a-long, and Star Tours for July 18th
• Expedition Everest, Festival of the Lion King, and Kali River Rapids on July 19th
• Frozen Ever After on July 20th and 22nd

and that is all for now
Also, life update, i ordered this shirt for the trip in royal blue and plan on wearing it to Hollywood Studios. Fair to say that I'm pretty excited.
