Does anyone know if there are any WL fans sites out there?! I love this thread and the WL picture thread! They really feed my addiction!

Aside from my WL addiction I have a POLY addiction! Shhhhh! WL is truly where my heart is! But, DH and I will be staying in a LVC room at Poly in March for our 10th anniversary! There is a really cool Poly fan site that really helps the addiction (tikiman) I'm wondering if there is a WL site. I've looked but can't comeup with anything!

Now, that would be awesome. If there is not one, maybe someone will be inspired to start one.

Yippeee Skippeee!!! I don't have a facebook account but I think I may have to get one! I do have myspace, I'm off to check it out!

Can someone helped me?
Ok I want the quietest room possible, which area should I request?
THANKS!

I don't know if there is a right or wrong answer to your question!

I've heard mixed things about the noise level in the rooms that open to the areas above the lobby. If you have one of those rooms you may get a little noise from the lobby or WCC.

We stayed in an inner courtyard view room (we overlooked the pool) in 06. We were at the end the hall closest to the lake and had no noise! The only time we heard anything from the pool was when we opened the balcony door. We were 2 doors from the staircase. The stairs were used often because they were closest to the boat dock and we never heard anything!

Good luck! Have a magical vacation!!

2 months to go for us!!

Hey Everyone,

We're just back from a 5 Night stay at WL - Club Level. I can't say enough amazing, good things about this resort! It is our favorite, a true gem!

We were in room 7042, a woods view with an amazing view of the castle. It was the last room in the hallway (only other room down our way was the Yosemite suite!). The area was extremely quiet, and great to come back to each night.

Our mousekeeper, Diana, was AMAZING! Friendly, and helpful - and left us towel animals every day. She even made Ghosts and Pumpkins for Halloween!

Lounge access was great, my only "Wish" would be that it was open to 11 pm instead of 10pm - just seemed like we wanted to rush a bit to get back and have dessert before bed.

Offerings for Breakfast: juices, coffees, milk, yogurt, muffins, fresh fruit, fruit salad, bagels, croissants. YUMM!

Offerings for Lunch/Snack time: These were very light, mostly lemonade, ice tea, soda, coffee, goldfish, gummy bears, cookies and nut mix

Offerings for Dinner: Varied each night, but usually a soup and "main dish": we saw minestrone soup, chicken broth with veggies, buffalo chicken and mashed potatoes, pork loin and spicy rice. uncrustables, Beer, wine, soda, etc

Offerings for Dessert: Warm apple cobbler, warm berry cobbler, cookies, brownies, magic cookie bars, Kahlua, Irish Cream, congac, Grand Marnier (sp?). Wine, beer, coffee..

We also managed to do the Wildlife Discovery Excursion, which is open only to Club level guests. It was definately worth the price (45? 50? - I don't remember anymore!). Even our kids 8 and 11 loved it.

As a treat, I had arranged for a White Chocolate Monorail to be in our room. The IPO handled this perfectly as well.

My only suggestion/complaint re:Club Level would be: make sure you print your itinerary before you go. I had asked the IPO if I needed to do this, and they had said not to worry about it. Turns out, when we got there, they couldn't print it - told us the system was down. If I didnt have some notes/a fairly good memory for our ADR's, we would have missed one or two of them.

That's it - any questions, feel free to ask!

If you've already chosen WL - you can't go wrong! Great choice! If you are considering WL, I say go for it! It is definitely our favorite (and we've been to a bunch of deluxes: poly, yacht club, akl)!

I've always doubted that the club level rooms were worth the money, but now you've got me wondering! Hmmm... perhaps I need to upgrade! Thanks for sharing the details!

I doubted the very same thing until I stayed there with my mother this past week. I don't think I can go back to a non club level room...lol. It was amazing and very well worth the money. It is amazing to sit around the lounge with the open lobby and then looking out at Bay Lake; I could sit there for hours with my wine and cheese and never visit the parks. Serene is a perfect word for it. We stayed in room 7107, it was very close to the lounge.

I would agree that the quietest rooms are probably the ones at the end of either wing. The rooms on the upper floors of the northwing facing the otter pond (which are considered woods view) are probably the quietest. On the 4th floor maybe room 4008 or 4006...the same on the 5th floor 5008 or 5006. Since there are no elevators at the end of the wings there is very little foot traffic. Some people use the stairs to get to the boat dock but if you're on the upper floors most people don't walk back up the stairs at the end of the day.

So what would I say when I requested this area?
Thanks.

You have to book a woods view room first. The request would be upper floor over looking the otter pond. I don't know how much of a specfic request they will allow but you can also ask for end of the hall.

I just had to report my experiences at WL. This was our first time there and it was absolutely fantastic. It was our 25th wedding anniversary and it couldn't have gone better. It started at checkin when I asked to be close to an elevator. The CM looked at what room we were being assigned and said that I may not want to make any changes. All I booked was a courtyard view. Turns out we had one of the Bear Face Rooms (4075)! It had to be one of the best rooms in the lodge. We could look out over the lobby and watch all the excitement or sit on the balcony and watch over the canyon. And everyday we were treated with 'towel art' in our room. My boss had sent us a gift basket the first day and everyday after that, something apeared in our room. One day was a 3-tiered towel wedding cake, another day was a huge towel allagator but the best was a signed glossy picture from Mickey & Minnie themselves with anniversary wishes. I owe it all to rubbing Humphrey's nose before going to the room. I had just learned about this before we left and had to give it a try. It worked!! This was indeed the most magical trip we've had at WDW.

Congrats on 25 years!! Glad to hear you had a wonderful trip!!

We check in to WL in 3 days-----CANT WAIT!!!:cool1:

My dh and I have decided to take our dd to the world next december for her first trip and as a thank you to our parents for everything they've done for us, we're taking them too. We've decided on staying at WL in two rooms. I've always loved WL and i can't wait to have our whole family there to enjoy the magic.

Glad you had such a great trip!! I am getting ready to request a room. I was wondering was the Courtyard view a standard room?
Thanks;.

No I don't think that the courtyard views are standard views, because of the price differences, courtyard views are the views everyone is wanting due to the location of the rooms. But check the first few pages of this thread they have great descriptions of the rooms and a link to a map with room numbers.
