OK, it's Golf4food's fault...I went over to WDW website and started playing around with dates in December and ended up booking Decemebr 12-18, 2008. I wasn't planning on a December trip this year...

....su-u-u-u-ure you weren't.....;)

Yes ::yes:: the Blue Flag Resort Boats start running @ 6:45am so would would have time to travel to the Contemporary Resort then board the Resort Monorail but remember you have to exit the resort monorail at the TTC to transfer to the EPCOT Monorail. Just make sure you start early that morning.

Before you board the EPCOT Monorail remember to ask the Cast member if you and your family may ride in front with the driver.

Thanks MagicinMyHeart. I wasn't aware that I would have to transfer at the TTC but it shouldn't be that big of a deal. I hope that we are up early enough to do this. It is the first day of our vacation so maybe we'll be excited. (We arrive on Saturday but we are not going to a park until Sunday.)
Hope everyone has pixiedust: Magical pixiedust: Vacations!

Transferring at the TTC is easy just exit down the ramp and walk back up the ramp. Unless the Cast Members open both doors then you can just walk across the platform to the EPCOT Monorail no ramps at all.

Have a Wonderful Trip.

I am really starting to get excited! 17 days until I will be at the Lodge. :goodvibes I am starting to pack up my box now to ship ahead of time. I am praying that the next 2.5 weeks go quickly!

CANDICE,

Good question . I need to know that too! Tried asking a few times, but it isn't common knowledge I guess. Anyone? Any BB Bear Face rooms?

I have posted before that I have stayed in at lest 7 of the 15 Bear Faced Rooms and none of them had the Bunk Beds, but that doesn't mean none of them do. In all the years I have been posting and reading this thread no one has ever posted that they received a Bunk Bed while staying in one of these rooms. But that doesn't mean that there aren't, :confused3 I will try and find out if in fact there are any Bunk Beds located there, but like the King Size Bed room there may only be one or two at the most.

What is a Bear Faced Room?:confused3

From Page 1:

BEAR FACE ROOM'S
Another piece of trivia from the Vets of Wilderness Lodge.

The Courtyard View rooms that are just off the Lobby are called the "Bear Face Rooms" because of a pattern (WARNING: Imagination is required to see The Bear) that forms the face of a bear, when approching or viewing the Lodge from Bay Lake.

In the photo below look toward the center of the roof just under the Flags. The two small triangular shape windows at the top of the building begins our short flight of fantasy. Now I think these two small windows are the eyes with the large gable forming the nose with the large balcony under the gable forming the mouth. Others see the the top two triangular windows as the ears with the two rectangular windows located to each side of the gable to be the eyes. Either way once you see the face you will be able to see the Bear each time you see the photo or the real deal.

I forgot to add in my post yesterday that we booked a bounceback when we were at the WL last week!!! We are going back Sept 15-19 and staying club level!!! WOOOHOOO! We got an absolutely great rate of $269.50 a night!!! :cool1: How could we pass that offer up!!! The addiction is getting worse!!!:lmao:

Hi. We will be traveling to WL on 7/20. I was lucky enough to be able to book the chefs table at V&A and am going to try to surprise my wife for our 5 year anniversary. My questions is what is the best route to get to V&A and how much time should I allow to get there. I am also booking Kids Nite Out to stay with our DS11mos so we need to make sure they get to WL on time so that we aren't late for our reservation. Thanks for your help.

Congratulations on your up coming Anniversary, and for the reservations @ The Chefs Table at V&A.

I think that since you both will have nice clothing on and the heat that we have here in Florida during July, I wouldn't even think about making your wife ride a bus or boat over to the Grand Floridian. To make the night special I would check on the price to hire a Limo for the ride over, I would at the least take a taxi. Trust me on this one.

By taking a taxi over to the GF you wouldn't have to leave as early, the travel time between the resorts would be less than 10 minutes.

You should notify Kids Nite Out of your reservation time or the time you will be leaving the Lodge and have them sugguest an arrive time.

Bolgers love wdw
I agree at that price for Club Level you couldn't pass it up...Does this include Free Dinning?

I am traveling to the WL with my family in July. I can't wait! I am learning a lot reading through this post. Thanks for all the great info.:thumbsup2

Beckie...

No it doesn't include free dining. That's ok though. When we stay CL we take advantage of the breakfast offerings, have a table service lunch, and then a few little tastes of the evening offerings. And I LOVE the capaccino machine!! When we were there in December I think I drank enough Cafe Mocha's to make up for the price difference per night!!!:drinking1 Also I think our 2 yr old son ate more chocolate chip cookies that week than my DH and I combined!!! YUMMY! We LOVE the CL there. The CM's are wonderful. Especially Mike and Jennifer!!

We will be returning to the Lodge August 13-21. Does anyone know if there is any exterior construction work being done at the resort?

:goodvibes :goodvibes

Hello everyone! I'm getting excited because I'm almost down to 6 months away from our magical Christmas trip to the WL. I'm in the process of planning our ADRs and I'm going a little nuts with all the choices.
My question for you all is about the WL Sleigh Rides. My DD saw a picture of the sleigh on this thread and saw Samantha Brown riding one on her Christmas special. She really loves horses and thinks that it will be wonderful. I'm trying to fit it into our plans somehow. Has anyone taken a sleigh ride? Is it a special experience? I keep thinking how many other things we have to see this week and finding the time to do them all. Thanks! :goodvibes
