Dh bought me Toy Story Mania for Christmas. I haven't had a chance to play it yet but I'm sure it will be fun.
George, I got the Super Mario Bros. Wii too. Sean and I played it Saturday night. I found it absolutely hysterical how you have to work as a team with the person you are playing in order to do well. He was Luigi and I was Mario and we kept jumping on each other's heads! ROFL We also discovered if you move too far away from each other, one of you will die.
I got Super Marios Bros - and can't get beyond 3 thingies (manhole covers?) We have the book, but it seems to assume you know how to do the basics. How many hours will I spend trying to figure this out!?!?!? - wish my grandsons lived closer so they could help me out.![]()
Now, how did you figure out how to get around in Mario Bros??? I just can't figure that outI need Mario lessons...
I got my Wii last year sometime, but just before Christmas this year, DBF bought Mario Kart. LOVE IT!
I also really love my Wii Fit.
I really want to get Animal Crossing and the new Super Mario Brothers game, and am VERY anxiously awaiting the release of Epic Mickey![]()

But, we are STILL playing Animal Crossing! I was successful in getting all the jingle furniture this year.
We're still trying to make acceptable snowmen.
George, that is exactly how Sean and I were Saturday night. It was absolutely hysterical. We loved it! Great fun!
P.S. Okay, admit it. Who jumped on whose head first? Lmao
This was kind of last year's Kindle effect. Pete mentioned being addicted to Animal Crossing, so being the good little do-bees we are, many of us also became addicted.
You start off with a town, you name it, and you name your character. There are other "townies" already in the town. You work to get your house, then enlarge your house. You earn bells (which are the monetary units in your town). You fish, catch bugs (during their appropriate seasons). You donate things to the town museum, and sell extras for more bells. Generally, you just try to improve your town. When you get bored (we've never done this), you can burn your town town, and start all over. There's no "winner" and the game never ends. Just goes on in real time (although you can cheat and change the time if necessary). If you have friends who also play, you can visit their towns (and they can visit yours). If you have WiiSpeak, you can actually talk to them! People get a little freaked at the idea of people (strangers) visiting, but only the people you give your friend code to can visit. You can send mail to your towns people, or your other friends.
George, it IS possible to use Luigi's head as a trampoline. Not that I wound know or anything. -grin-
I spent a few hours last night playing Sims 2 Castaway. It was one of the ones Sean gave me for Christmas. I am a Sim nut anyway, but I really like this game. You have all of these goals to meet which keeps the gameplay moving unlike the regular Sims.
What is this Wii Motion thing I keep seeing all over? Anyone know?
Do you have to have it in order to play those specific games?
