It is most definitely a sit on the couch game. or the way I play it, a contort your body while steering through hairpin turns and screeming at the screen to "turn dammit! turn!!!".
You sit down (or stand as my DS 11 likes to do) and use a steering wheel with the controller attached. It is not a whole body thing. Unless you're like me and lean as you turn, or kick your leg out for that last little bit of turn. But it is fun!
Mario Cart is a driving Game that you can use with or without a steering wheel. I find it is easier with the wheel but not a mounted wheel (mounted meaning that it is in a stand that suction cups to something) because if you jerk the wheel up at certain times you get certain actions.
I got my Fit Plus today. I have been playing off and on all afternoon in between laundry and other chores...but put in a total of 55 minutes today which I can certainly feel.
What do you think of it? Worth the buy? DH is currently playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare - Reflex. He said it is a bit challenging getting used to the Wii Zapper but he likes the game. He has only played solo so far but I expect it won't be long before he gets some of his friends to join in.
Its a bit challenging also, getting the casting down is the main thing. It can be down right frustrating at times, it may be something you just have to get used to. The pole isn't worth a darn and down right a waste of money IMO. I would love to try a first person shooter on the Wii but have not yet, I'm still a fan on tennis!
Tim got Mariokart and two wheels for Christmas. i have to admit i'm a little bit disappointed by it so far - it hardly seems any more advanced than Mariokart 64. but having said that, i've only played for half an hour or so. hopefully there's more to it than i think!
I try to watch the Nintendo Week show on the Wii every Monday. Just caught wind of a new game that released last month. Walk It Out. You basically walk to music around Rhythm Island amassing pts to unlock more music and build up the island. Not much about it on the gaming sites but some folks on Amazon have some pretty good things to say about it.
Tried to get it at the local Best Buy buts it's only available online but sold out. TRU didn't have it either. Could have tried the local Gamestop but decided to order from Amazon. We'll see how Deb likes it.
