EDIT: I don't hate Disney I love it but I hate going during the blazing hot sun in August!

We usually go in august. Its hot as heck, but we deal. These past 2 years we went in August because of free dining, which is a great incentive. Plus, its value season, so even greater savings. Its hot, but WDW seems to not do any re-furb in the summer and the parks close late.

We went in Aug. 05 and we're going again in Aug. 07. I'm talking early August, when it's crowded and hot. Dh is a teacher, which is why we go then.

For the first time ever, I went in September of this year (with the kids alone) and I could not believe the difference between that and August. Crowds were so much lower! I wish we could always travel off season. I'd like to go during the winter sometime.

We went in August 04, and we are going in August 07 also. It was so bad, just drink lots of water.

We went in August in 2005 and 2006, and next year's trip is also planned for August. We drink a lot of water and keep a pretty relaxed pace, so the heat doesn't really bother us.

Another teacher here. I love going in August! Even when I used to go with my family, we would always go the last week in August because the crowds were lower than most of the summer. DBF and I went the week before free dining this past August and the crowds were awesome!! I guess people were holding out for the following week. Yes, it is HOT but you're in and out of places all day, it's not so bad. I will be going again in August this summer!

I went in Aug. of last year. Yes, it was hot and crowded. I brought a spray bottle with me and sprayed down my family every few minutes.
However, I do like the heat (being Canadian). I would not recommend going in Aug. if you are travelling with seniors or preg. women as it could be a struggle.

My wife and I go the last week of August every year. Yes it's hot, yes it's humid, but the crowds are very thin and the parks are manageable. If you go early morning, leave mid-day, and return late afternoon it is very easy to do everything you want to.

On a side note, I am re-evaluating going at his time in 2007. Since Florida passed their law prohibiting schools to start before Labor Day (or something to that effect), I am curious how it will impact the crowds and parks.
