This is probably the best Red Sox game I've seen in a while.
No, not just because the Red Sox are winning, though that is a plus.
The Red Sox team is full of the most genuine people you will ever meet/know. The beginning of this game they played the national anthem with the large flag covering the green monster. They had a moment of silence before this for the victims of 9/11. There were servicemen and women there as well. It was just really special. Then after they started winning and after Oritz’s home run he not only hive-fived but hugged one of the servicemen. That was probably the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.
The Red Sox have never been selfish. They’ve always played to win. They’ve played for the fans, to give the fans what they want, which are wins. But they don’t just win games. They win by doing small things like hugging a serviceman after hitting a home run. It’s just in the character of the Red Sox players, who they are.
This game showed those positive characteristics of the Red Sox players better than any other game. Now I’m positive they’ll win it. A perfect ending to a perfect game.
I am positive this will be a game that will never be forgotten. It wasn’t the baseball terminology of a “perfect game” but in my eyes it was.
GOD BLESS THIS POST
