Nancy - Nice looking ADRs. Cape May character breakfast is pretty good. It's less of a zoo than Chef Mickey and its right there at the BC. I also like Tusker House breakfast at AK.

WFDT? I pulled out hamburgers that I got from the market. DH will be having potato croquets.

Nancy, those ADRs do look good and especially booking now for Thanksgiving! I love 'Ohanas and plan to book there every trip until Fran gets sick of it!

We have never done Hoop de Do, but plan to do that with Arline.

We went out for dinner tonight and after all the work on the apartment it was welcome. i got fried shrimp and they were good. however it's been some time since we ate and I am getting hungry before going to bed.

Nancy, congratulations on the trip! That is awesome!

I have never eaten at 'Ohanas... Alison, don't hurt me...:rotfl: I will have to look into that the next time we are there.... Hmm, I have no idea when that will be... I have no points for next year!

...like SLIME???? popcorn::

:eek:

Marilyn - I need something to keep me motivated on losing weight and eating healthy. "Some sort of green thingy" is not doing it for me.!!!!! :rotfl2:

:rotfl:

Busy weekend. Friday night my BFF, her middle DS and I ran to do things to get ready for a yardsale Saturday. It was a fundraiser for his football team. Didn't get in until after 10 then went around the house getting last minute stuff ready for the morning. Didn't get to sleep until after 12 and had to be up by 5. :scared:

Was out of the house by 5:25am and got back home at 2:30pm. Did pretty good considering most of the stuff I sold was less than a $1. My sister drove up from VA for it and was worried about selling stuff, she ended up selling almost everything she brought with her including a Jump-A-Roo. She had just that and a few of the girls old clothes left and decided to go ahead and leave because she had to get to my older DN's swim meet. She had packed the little bit of clothes up and was just going to leave the jump thing with me and a couple came up and bought it. :yay:

After I got home I was so tired I ended up falling asleep on the couch and slept for almost 6 hours, was awake for 2, then downstairs to bed for another 6. Decided to do nothing yesterday although I did run to TJ's to pick up things for this week.

Today I came in to work to get some uninterrupted work done and got here and realized my cabinet keys are not in my purse. :headache: So I am doing a little filing and straightening then headed out to have crabs with my BFF, just the two of us. Her boys are driving her crazy. :sad2:

:hug: I'm sure you'll get back.

I just love Churrascarias and the entree here is served in that style which is what lured me in, but I also love Asian food. The wings and potstickers they serve are great, and even the noodles which are just plain chow/lo mein noodles and vegetables were tasty. And then they bring you meat on a skewer as much as you want, but save room for the tasty bread pudding! You really should try it sometime!

That is a busy weekend! I despise having to do yard sales, but they are a necessary fact of life! Glad you spent a day doing nothing, that's always nice!

I had thought about Cape May but Kady had made her requests and I wanted to try to accommodate her. I think that the week following Tday will be slow enough to get in for breakfast if she wants to go. I have to admit I am a character geek and love Stitch so 'Ohana is more for me )hanging my head in shame)

Marisa and Jeff love 'Ohana and we have eaten there every time we go. It has been a while since I have been to WDW so I am not sure what the restaurants are like now.

Hoop-de-Doo was a favorite for Bud so we think it will be a fun night for us

:lmao::lmao:

Dinner was out and I had frozen fish and chips. I think a menu should specify if they are not using fresh fish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was okay but not what I was expecting.

You're in good company! :hug:

now I am really hungry.... I am hoping that sometime soon I might be able to make a small trip down. Sometime next year I could borrow against the next year but I am not holding my breath...

:headache: Bud Lite Lime-A-Rita is lethal. :rolleyes1

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Dinner is a ham steak and salad and green veggie or a sandwich for bud and eggs and salad and a veggie for me. I have a wedding in two weeks and my dress does not fit!

Kady has her concert this evening and Marisa cannot attend. It is a bank night for Relay for life so she is committed there. DInner is not the priority so we will figure what works once he gets home from work./

We have band tonight so dinner will be from some kind of drive through.

Tonight is Chili Rellenos and refried beans... I guess we are doing meatless Tuesday this week.!!!

Got my peppers roasted and peeled, stuffed with cheese and ready to fry!

Hi, everyone! Sorry I dropped off the face of the earth. Things got really crazy around here.

We went south for Alan to shoot the eclipse (which was pretty darn amazing, by the way!), and then I ended up staying with my dad until his angiogram on Wednesday. I came home Wednesday night, after a clean bill of health from the angiogram!!! However, I went back down on Thursday morning, after a panicked call from my brother that dad's incision site wouldn't stop bleeding. I stayed with Dad until Saturday morning. On Friday, we went to the ER and they gave dad a shot of lidocaine to shrink the capillaries and stop the bleeding.

Saturday I came home and celebrated 22 years of marriage to Alan! We went to dinner and saw a movie... exciting, I know!

Monday we did a lot of Memorial Day stuff, and spent the afternoon/evening with my brother and his family and my sister and her family. It was nice, but it was even nicer to wake up this morning, and know that things were going to be back to normal... for a little while. School is out at 10:15 Thursday morning, so I have to make the most of the time I have left to have a quiet house!

Dinner tonight is a layered chicken enchilada casserole. I found a recipe, but I'm kind of "nanatizing" it as I go along. I'll report back tomorrow with the verdict.

Nancy - I'm so jealous of your trip!!! This is the first time in 3 years that we haven't been to Disneyland during the spring/summer. I'm going through serious withdrawals!

Allison - So glad that Fran's leg is healing. Glad that Arline's hip is not broken. What great friends you are to help her move closer to help!

Marilyn - Slow down and breathe!!!

Lindsay - I'm good with starting a new thread early... just don't forget to leave a "forwarding address!"

Ellen - Glad to see you checked in! Hope things are slowing down for you.

PIO - Your pictures are amazing!!! What a neat trip!

Brandy - I'm so glad that things worked out for your hubby and his new job! I can't wait to hear how the first day went.

Just wanted to let everyone know that David's first day at the new job was a success...

He is already in meetings and meeting his team of engineers.

He is excited and happy which makes me happy!

Brandi - This is so good to know. So happy for both of you. Thanks for sharing. :flower3:

Glynis- it sounds like your week was filled with a lot of emotions. :hug: I have been following your DL trips. I was fortunate enough to visit DL with my sister a few years ago and I have to say that while WDW is wonderful I was really drawn to DL. I was trying to explain the difference to my brother and he just did not get it. He has not been back to WDW in over 25 years so his memory of WDW is all he had to compare the two.

Brandi- I am so happy for David!!!!!!!!!!

Last night was Kady's concert. Buddy and I took her because Marisa was committed to a Relay for Life Bank night and she does the finance for this area. We had dinner out and I am able to say I had a large dinner salad. :thumbsup2

Tonight is ham steak, steamed veggies and a large salad. NO BREAD, NO STARCH for me :snooty: I have to get in shape quick...that dress is skin tight!!!!:scared:

Brandi - Hooray for a good first day!!!

Nancy - Disneyland is a really special place for me! I loved my visit to WDW, but DL will always be my happy place. Good luck with the weight loss! I need to lose some weight before London, myself. Guess I need to stock up on willpower!

Dinner tonight will be some kind of pasta dish.
