The Weekend Grind - 9/28 - 9/29

Happy Weekend! everyone must be out and about already or sleeping in

I actually slept until 6am then dozed until 8!!!

girls are still asleep! we enjoyed the game last night, rain held off! unfortunately the Wildcats lost, guess its their building year! girls went to dance, but didn't talk to anyone, but I met the asst admission lady and a couple current AMHS mom's!

going to be a rainy week here, finally had to break down and put my heat on and break out my slippers!

Hope all the homecoming events went great and everyone got home safe and sound

bring girls over to Karlee's - if her mom is feeling okay (had dental surgery yesterday and had a reaction to the meds, didn't go last night) Megan will spend the night over there.
add a friends itinerary to our second WDW week
balance checkbook
work on kid kits for LSS
sort photos and kit pages to scrap tomorrow

call a friend to catch up

DH and I are headed to Home Depot (and maybe Lowe's) to purchase the rest of our bathroom remodel supplies. Hopefully the contractor can get started in the next couple of weeks.

Glad you had a good time at the game last night! Our homecoming parade was good.. the game not so much... but that happens sometimes...

I have a icky throat today so I'm just taking it slow even though I have a list a mile long.. it will have to wait till tomorrow... I can NOT be sick this week I have senior night for DS17 coming up!! Which is they win this game means they clinch the share of conference title!

attempt to do 1/2 of my list for today

keep DS12 alive as he is working my nerves today! Bless his heart....



Sunday:

keep myself healthy
finish the other 1/2 of my list
go to mall to get DS12 new tennis shoes for his birthday (his request)
stop by store to get magnets for locker decs (I have tape too but magnets are so much easier just slap that decoration on the door and we can move on...)


This week is going to be a bit busy and I really have to buckle down.. I have a project I have to get done on Monday... I have to go take a photo and have it developed in 5x7s for the boys' goodie bags..

Afternoon!

Slept in until 7, showered and then DH and I went out to breakfast and to the farmer's market. I then cleaned the grout and tile floor in the kitties bathroom and tidied up the rest of the house. Getting ready to scrap as DH enjoys his college football - I'll join him later for a game or two. I can't watch it all day like he does, hahaha!

tomorrow:
strip bed
wash mattress pad
wash blankets & quilt & store
make bed with "fall/winter" bedding (I switch it up every 6 months )
more laundry
scrap while laundry is going
grill out steak for dinner and make a fab salad to go along with it!
work on grocery list

So today I attempted to begin the large clean out of the basement, you know....the place where old things go to die!!! Anyway, what was I thinking?!? DH was at work. I really, really, really shouldn't expect a overworked, underpaid teenager to help and a toddler is really not a help (he no need a nap today!) so I didn't get far, 2 bags of garbage, 7boxes broken down, 1 laundry basket full for donation, went through 6 totes, condensed sizes and seasons and ended with 4 full totes, 2 empties. It's a start anyway but a long way to go. To add insult, it actually looks WORSE since I had to pull stuff out of its hidey holes. Then little DS took out every toy upstairs while I cleaned 2 bathrooms. I'm really not sure that I'm ahead at all, since I probably could have gone to the zoo and had my house remain clean! But I need to rearrange, flip clothes and toys and get rid of excess before Christmas so it had to start and I actually could see a solid 4 day stretch with nice weather and DS13 was here today and tomorrow and DH is home Monday and Tuesday which made it a good chance to jump on.

We grabbed dinner out, so I grabbed deli meat so that is 1 of tomorrows chores done! See that, now I am AHEAD of schedule, ROTFL. Happy weekend!
