The Weekend Grind ~ 12/8- 12/9/12

Yesterday was busy! Made cupcakes for the dance performance/St. Jude fundraiser. We brought Sophie so we went early to get her and go have lunch. Morgan was in both shows, so it was after 5:00 by the time we left. Did a couple quick stops on the way home. Mostly done with my shopping, just need stocking stuffers!

Today is tree day. Morgan really needs to start her sewing project for her girlfriends. She's making them pillowcases for Christmas. So, that means I have to help her measure and cut fabric. (Which I don't mind, just means I won't get much else done today).

I do want to see if I got any good pictures yesterday, my lens was acting up :(

I'm a head first gingerbread man eater. :)

Hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend!

ok what I suggest on stocking stuffers
if they get anything that needs batteries - those batteries go in(go ahead & stick them in early - most people don't look too close at stocking - don't think that Santa will add things before the date but that way you don't have to remember who needs what size or how many)
SD cards for camera nuts
chap stick/lip balm

just to fill them up - a sortment of Little Debbies in the holidays styles so gingerbread men, cake trees, etc

tree day here too..... if we don't kill each other in the process every year we say smaller it never happens. will check in later if I'm not under/pinned behind the tree (don't laugh they've done it to me before)

off to finish the removal of furniture and pictures

I don't do gingerbread either but give me a sugar cookie and off goes the head!:rotfl:

Christy and Jennifer have fun with the tree trimming!

Julia decided yesterday that the tree had to go up. Since Josh was off we added that to the mix of things. They also decided that we had to decorate the mini gingerbread houses too! I am exhausted today, but we had so much fun it was worth it.

We keep saying we will get a new tree - mine is older than Richard
next one is going to be smaller in width

OK got to get something done today - didn't feel like I got anything done yesterday (I know I did but still didn't feel it)

so far the tree is winning. I've been on the couch with an icepack to the head. Good news husband can jump off a railing and take a flight of stairs in abt 3 seconds. and I no longer have to use the clippers (which I hated before hand). oh yeah the tree is stronger than me and clippers and almost stronger than tom and the giant set of clippers he used words no christmas tree should hear :lmao::rotfl2:

Oh, Christy I'm so sorry that tree got frisky with you!! Glad to know Tom was able tame the tree and help you!!

Hope you feel better soon!!!

Watching College Cup soccer finals... :cheer2: Let's go boys!!!

Thanks Nan my head is feeling a bit better with each hour that goes by. Poor Levi was down on the 1st floor with me and was asking me what I needed but I couldn't talk cause I was in tears, I felt bad for him :sad2: At least I'm on couch duty as far as the tree goes for today. I do need to get upstairs and pull everything off my bed and put it all away and re hang the stair way pictures. so I'm off to try that for a bit.

Enjoy the finals:cheer2:
