The Weekend Grind ~ 1/5/13 and 1/6/13

I know this is early but I need to write my list down while I have a few minutes... My parents are coming over around noon for Christmas....


So, let's see:

Saturday:

finish DONE
DS16 to basketball practice
DS12 up to clean room
DS16 home to clean room
DD to clean her room
once over house
wrapped parents and sister's families gifts
parents over
DD to submit and pay housing application
DD to pay spring semesters sorority dues/fees
DD to go to town and pick up her photos she ordered
DH and kids to basketball game
I will work on my project that needs done while they are gone ~ I went to game so my project will be tomorrow before FIL comes over for lunch.. He wants to learn computer so he is coming over to work with DH...
movie when the family gets home after the game


Sunday:

change in plans:
work on project that I was to start on Saturday
make sure DS16 has all his new supplies ready for the semester (make sure he has his schedule printed and with him)
make sure DS12 has his backpack ready to go (I know he has all his supplies because he grabbed a grocery bag to tote them upstairs with..)
give DH a list of a few things to do so he is not under foot..
kids ready for bed by 10.. school starts on Monday!


Monday:
Work on MK last group
photograph and post to thread
bag and tag them
find box to mail them in Feb.
Need cash for postage

Prayers and pixie dust to all those in need!!
I hope everyone has a great weekend.. I have gotten so much done in the past two days that I'm feeling better about a lot of things!!!

I need to check the milk supply......
I need to do 4 loads of laundry and run them to moms to dry....... still no word from the repair man I'm ready to just swipe FIL's but that would have to wait till monday.......
depending on milk supply errands today or sunday?

Weekend!

Probably make pancakes for breakfast.
30 min clean up for everyone. Just a few things to tidy up.
Science projects. We have a bunch to do. Maybe pick 3-4 to do today.
Finish stack of pics for DD#3 got off track.
Inventory
Mk swap papers-figure out and order
Start cutting epcot pieces and assemble should go fast

Sunday:
Not much
Dbf to store for papers.
More of the same.

Blarg, woke up with a horrible headache. Thinking of going back to bed.

Today I should...
Make chicken soup
Take down tree
Figure out what papers I need for last layout for MK sketch swap - Made a list, but will buy during the next sale.
Joann's for paper - Not going to make it, I'll wait for the next sale.
Store for potatoes for corn chowder - Going to make this next weekend, too much soup
Work on Epcot swap - got all but my Holidays group designed in SCAL or CCR - completed 2 1/2 groups today, hope to get at least five more groups done tomorrow.

Supervise thank you card writing
Lunch? Leftovers of some sort, probably chicken soup and grilled cheese?
Dinner - Manicotti or ravioli

work on science project, need a case to protect an egg to be dropped. But no idea how far of a drop. postponed till later, Julia's not feeling well.

The winner of DS16's years... took a soccer cone and put in bubble wrap in the bottom of it... then surround the egg in bubble wrap and made it a cushion... (requirment was you had to be able to see the egg to verify it didn't break)... then he took saran wrap and covered the top of the cone opening (which is really the bottom)... he secured the wrap w/ a rubber band...


DS16 came in second but according to 4 judges he actually won...but it is what it is... he took a swim noodle cut to 4.5".. then split it open only cutting 1 side of it.. put the egg in and then rubber banded either side of the egg.... some how it never flipped in the drops off the top of the school bldg... We even dropped it off the top off our house... LOL

afternoon all

well other than looking at the milk supply my list is out the window!

Tom and crew (boys and a friend each) plus one of the guys that drives the sap truck are working ing the woods, that means I will spend the afternoon in the kitchen cooking. I'm thinking spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread. I should do at least 1 of the loads so that when I go to moms after sauce I can throw it in the dryer but I think the well pump is frozedn I have very little pressure in the house calling tom now abt it.

off to get moving.....

Thanks Nan! Julia is still sleeping, I really hope she feels better in the morning, she is really congested and was complaining earlier about her throat... going to be really ticked if she picked something up at school.

Hope Julia feels better soon... Yes, I tell me kids all the time to try not to breathe at school... I know it can't be done but it does make them laugh... I also packed fresh hand sanitizer, pocket kleenex and chapstick in their backpacks today.

I hope it's just a cold. Morgan has been coughing and sniffling off and on for weeks. Part of me thinks it is the heat, but who knows?
