The Weekend Grind 1/4 &1/5/2014

Happy 1st weekend of 2014!

Prayers and pixie dust to all those in need.

It is so cold outside! I am staying in and scrapping!

Today:

manicure
scrap Christmas Cards and hopefully some on Disney trip
dinner pumpkin pancakes

Tomorrow:
menu, list, grocery shop
clean bathroom
work on organizing scrap embellies and albums

unload/reload dishes
run with DH (supposed to get to low 40's today, I can do this)
boys to Winter Jam with ILs
date night for me and DH!
scrap a little
run sweeper (darn dog hair!)

Tomorrow:
DH work
church with boys
pick up
get lunch boxes and backpacks ready for Monday

It is bitterly cold but this isn't even the worst we are expecting!! (double digit negative degrees on Monday and Tuesday)... YUCK!! Awaiting our next storm that is due in tomorrow another 8-10 inches for our area... DOUBLE YUCK!

Let's see on today's list:

Saturday:
once over house
scrap
finish list from yesterday
DD to review blackboard w/ DS17 for his college class
DS13 to do his 2 observations (only 4 more observations to go!!)
look into flight back if DH has to drive DD back to college on Tuesday --- they don't fly to Indy.. WHAT!?!

Sunday:
scrap
DS13 to start working on project board & last 2 observations
get boys bookbags ready for school (hopefully with the bitter temps they will have a delay or call school off)
get DD ready to return to college
take photos of snowfall for 2014 album -- make notes of storm name and information about it and results of snow total.

Its the weekend, was up early and out the door by 7:30AM...

Today:
Get Pilot serviced
Breakfast out with Joey
Grocery shopping
Morning chores
Downloading pics from Christmas to Shutterfly - in process
Scrap
Burgers and fries for supper

Tomorrow:
Laundry
Sweep out garage
Joey to dust and vacuum his man cave (I don't touch it!)
SCRAP
Grilling steaks for dinner

80% chance of rain all weekend - at least its warm though (71) so I've got nothing to complain about.

Well, the snow is falling!!! No going out today except to clear off vehicles, walks, drives, play in the snow... because once the temps start falling no one will be going out of the house because the risk of frost bite is going to be awful...

I hope they cancel school for tomorrow..but I don't think they will.. A few colleges have postponed classes if they are starting tomorrow... We shall see.. If not, I am going to be one mad momma!!!

I hope so too Nan - even the news down here says 5 minutes in the temps they are predicting is all it will take to get frostbite... what about the kids who have to ride the bus? And at those temps, salt doesn't even work on ice.

We got word about 1 hour ago that school is closed for tomorrow!!

I now need to find out if the eye doctor will be open tomorrow if not I need to find a place to take PJ to close to school because she has to be at school on Tuesday afternoon... so maybe we can take her somewhere down there or she will have to handle it on her own with me on the phone.... she needs her contacts renewed!

Our county is under a snow/travel emergency... so no going out unless it's an emergency.
We played outside and took photos... It's a gorgeous day but I know those bitter temps and winds are due to come in soon.

Nan, so glad to hear they cancelled school. The kids being out in those temps is way too dangerous! Good luck with the eye doctor.
