talk with DH about carpet for DS's room, what he brought home is

Well, we got up at 6:30am so we could get DS17 off to his first college class... The weather spared us last night so we didn't have much snow on the ground.. I decided to check is college email and good thing I did because she had canceled their class. So we all went back to bed!

have DS17 check college email for homework (she said they would)

put some pages into DS17's life album

dug out of next round of yuck coming in and make sure the boys are ready for the nasty - double digits temps not including wind chill next week....

Good morning all, happy weekend!

The sn*w found us last night...again. Woke up this morning to a couple new inches and still coming down. Poor DH, the 4wd wasn't working right on his truck. He thinks it is the transfer case, and is outside making sure, before he goes out to buy parts. DS10 was outside playing for about an hour, but he's back in now.

DH fix truck (hopefully)
dishes
keep house from becoming a disaster

Slept in. Being lazy.
Gonna do work on a few things.
Hit the automatic post office, since we are heading out.
Open house for a potential school for ds.
Store for mushrooms dbf is cooking dinner.
Rest of the night tv/movies/ scrapping.

Morning!

Its a sunny Sunday here - getting ready to go for a walk. Didn't do too much yesterday, had my car serviced and spent almost 3 hours on the phone talking to a dear friend of mine with whom I haven't chatted with in months. It was nice to catch up !

Later, DH and I watched some of our recorded shows and ordered Chinese for dinner - a very nice evening...

Gonna start the laundry after my walk...need to strip the bed too! DH has a few Honey Do's and I will probably scrap a few pages as well.

Survived the overnight retreat! Was the first one ever that there was no rudeness from any if the kids! Was a nice treat!

The batch of snow that was due in today missed us... but we are due for about 1-2 tonight and horrible temps and wind chills tomorrow.. (they'll rival Jan 6 & 7)... YUCK!! Thankfully, they have already called a 2 hour delay.... while the temps will be pitiful the kids going to school is a good thing... they can do it... I did tell my kids that at least you can tell your kids when they complain about going to school in bad weather that you went to school when the temps was in the negative numbers with the wind chill in double digit negatives and to be quiet and bundle up because you are going to school!!! (I tell my kids that we walked to school both ways uphill..... and at times we had to carry the car because we didn't have wheels back then! )
