Hi everyone. Was hoping to find out from you all how the Tuesday through Friday crowds have been after Memorial Day. I was hoping not too busy as most children still have school following the day off and maybe just the locals would be in the park instead of huge crowds of traveling vactioners. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!!

I've been that week a couple of times and did not find the crowds to be bad. After Memorial Day, they definitely lightened up some. Most schools in Alabama (and probably a few other Southern states as well), do get out for the summer before Memorial Day, but most Northern schools are still in.

I would think it may be a little more crowded then usual this year as there are lots of Florida school districts this year ending the week before Memorial Day, and that week is not an AP block out week.

I would suggest you check the local school calendar. We were there a few years ago during that time. Things were fine crowd-wise. Then - school let out - and the next day was holiday crowd levels. And it was a lot of older kids with no supervision. It was probably our worst few days in the parks ever.

We visit that week every year. It is busy but manageable.

We have visited the week of Memorial Day 3 times since 2010. There are crowds, but not like usual holiday crowds. If we go during the summer that is the week we prefer to go.

Agreed with some others, having been there that week in 2013 and 2015. Not at all too crazy in those years.

That's when we go for our long 10+ day trip. Our schools get out the week before so we head down on Thursday and stay the whole week and through the following weekend. While most Southern schools are out most Northern ones aren't so it is less crowded than July but still pretty crowded. But, when it comes to school break times it's one of the better options simply because half the country is still in school

We are going down on the 31st. Typically we pick the week before or after Mem Day as that is when the kids get out of school and I don't dare go down there in the heat of summer. Crowds get heavy but honestly the only time that the crowds are NOT bad for us is late April / Early May and we just can't pull kids out of school for that anymore. With a good plan, you'll be fine.

We arrived at WDW on the Sunday before Memorial Day two years ago. Generally, we go in June. I though the crowds may have been slightly higher than the early and mid June weeks. Crowds were not outrageous, but busy.

That was an odd year with Memorial Day on May 25th.

We're trying for that week too. Expecting the worst, but hoping for the best!

We did that week 2 years ago. Here in GA all the schools let out the week of Memorial Day. It was HOT and was, I would say, about a 6-7 crowd wise. So, heavy, but manageable if you have a plan. Seems like there were a lot of southern state tourists (I assume that's because, like GA, they start summer break on Mem. Day week) and locals. We had a great time, but I think my wife, who doesn't do well in the heat, was about to pass out by the middle of the afternoon. We either took an afternoon break or stopped touring the parks early almost every day to go to the pool at the resort.
