The Week Leading Up to Memorial Day

For those who have been in the parks on the week leading up to Memorial Day weekend, what are the crowds like and how is the weather? Please NOTE, I'm not including Memorial Day weekend in my question. Just the week leading up to it.

We were there that week in May 2018. We left the Friday before Memorial Day. We had always been in April, but always avoiding Easter. We thought the crowds were fantastic and would go then again in a heartbeat. It was more humid than our April trips. But the times before parades, fireworks, etc. that we needed to secure a spot were way less. Rides still had long waits, but nothing that we had trouble with by using FP, etc. Some of the smaller rides, were even semi walk-on or only a very short 10ish minute wait. Space, Splash, Thunder all had 50 min waits the majority of the day. (Thinking 10:30am-7pm)

That's one of my favorite times to go crowd wise. Most people won't pull their kids out of school so close to summer. You will also see area schools on field trips, so they are day guests and usually clear out before nighttime entertainment starts. Weather wise it is getting warm but not crazy hot yet.

The crowds are very manageable and the weather is usually great! May is my absolute favorite month to go

We've been this exact week 3 years in a row, and this year will be our 4th year doing it! We love it, crowds are average, weather isn't horrible yet, although last year was hot, but not July-hot.
I will add, we left on the Tuesday after Memorial Day, but our park days were done on the Friday before. So we thought we'd hit some outlet malls on the last weekend and they were crazy busy!! The parking lots were ridiculous with people parking on the grassy areas that were not even big enough to hold their vehicles. Crowds picked up noticeably on that Friday before the holiday.
