The week before Labor day

Okay I was able to get flights the week before Labor day but how busy does the park get? In Fl the kids are back in schoolso Mon-Fri is real quiet. I would be checking in Mon and out Fri so I shouldn't hit the weekend crowd. What do you guys think? Is CA kids in school yet? Any help is great!!!!

Most schools in CA will start the week before Labor Day. The crowds will not be as bad as other summer weeks. It will be HOT though, so take advantage of getting to the park early and then getting a break in the afternoon. Check out the "recommendations" thread for a plan of attack in the parks.

Although some CA schools will be back to school the week before Labor Day, a lot in the area will not be. It varies district by district in this area. Sweetpea's district starts the monday following Labor day. A majority of them will start either the tuesday or thursday after Labor Day. It will definately be less crowded than other times during the summer though. But it will be HOT! Make sure you drink plenty of water and plan on being there early.

The schools where I am in SoCal also start the week after Labor Day. This past year,that week was pretty crowded, but not as bad as other times in the summer.

Thanks for the replies. We are used to the FL heat because we usually go in the summer also, Is Aug rainy? Is it comparable to Fl heat!! Thanks

Aug here is not rainy. Im sure with me saying that there could be some freak strom, but not likely. And its not like FL heat. It hot, but tolerable. Just keep up with the water and the sunscreen and you will be ok.

We were there last year during this time. The crowds were managable. I noticed more humidity than I am used to, but nothing like Florida.

We were also there the week before labor day last year. It was great. It was still technically summer so you got the summer hours it just wasn't crowed like summer. If I had to pick anytime out of the summer to go that is when it would be. It will be hot though but since I am from Arizona it's actually cooler at Disneyland then it is here! We walked right on to quite a few rides no wait at all. Ride the popular rides in the morning and use fast pass in the afternoon and you will be fine.
