The week before Easter or the week after...crowds?

We just returned and I am already planning next year! :rotfl2 We just started doing a 2 week vacation...1 in WDW and 1 at the beach...heaven! Well, ds (6) will be in first grade next year so we only want to have him miss 1 week of school so we have decided that we will vacation during Easter break....we will be at the beach the Sat. before Easter until the next Sat. I would rather do WDW before the beach (need the rest! LOL) but I am trying to find out if typically the week prior to Easter is more crowded or the week after. I think the rates will be cheaper after Easter but I would honestely rather spend a bit more if the crowds will be less...make sense? By the way, Easter is April 16th next year if that matters!

If this year it is both weeks..but next year Easter doesn't fall the same week...but I would plan that they both are pretty much equal in the crowdedness

Hi

I was there from the Thurs before Easter thru Monday a week later last year. It was busy the whole time. Spring break may have had something to do with it, since it landed on the same week at Easter for the west coast. I will be curious if it is the same this year.

From my planning I found out that it is busy both weeks around Easter. My challenge was being with ppl who do not get up early, so could not make any of the EMH's. But we had fun anyway. Just paced ourselves. And ate a lot!!!

Post's I've seen I would say the week after Easter would be best for lower crowds.This is based on what I've read from post's and guide books not from personal experience.
