Well that will be spring break week for Maine and Mass schools. Not sure about any other NE schools.

Our most common arrival date is during the week after Easter. We don't find it to be overly crowded. One benefit of that time period is WDW usually lowers their resort room rates the Sunday after Easter. Happy planning!

We're going next week this year.
Seasonal APs re-activate Saturday (29). Room rates drop Sunday (Mar 30). TGM says Sun/Mon are 9 and the rest of the week is 7/8.

Hotel rooms seem to all be gone, and I can't seem to change my ADRs.

We just got back Saturday and a number of people told us the three busiest weeks of the year are the week before Easter, the week after Easter and Christmas. I believe it too! We arrived on Thursday, March 13th and by Tuesday/Wednesday of the following week the crowds were insane! We were very thankful that we were staying at a Deluxe resort this time and had other things to keep us entertained at our resort.

I think the week after Easter will be busier this year, because it is so early. As I said, we've usually found the crowds to be not that bad when we've arrived the Thursday or Friday after Easter in the past. Personally, I wouldn't let this year's possible larger crowds scare you away from those dates. At least I hope that's true--it's when we are planning to go next year!!

Seems like the answers given are for the week after Easter and you are asking about the week AFTER the week after Easter, the same time I am considering going. If rates are lowered the Sunday after Easter, that would be perfect timing. Subscribing so I can see what others have to say.

This will be spring break for many schools in new england and parts of new york. This is when we go to disney and will be there that week in 2009. It will still be busy. We have been there at times when our spring break was the same week as easter and when it is after easter. We have noticed very little difference in the crowds. It is likely that the rates will be lowered, but it is also possible that the parks will close earlier than they had the week before.

It has just been our experience that if our break is after easter, that the parks close earlier than the week before. During our last visit, our spring break was the same week as easter. The MK had EMH every morning that week, opening at 7 and was open until midnight. The visit before, our break was after easter. The MK closed at 9 or 10. And at the end of the week it closed even earlier since they started having grad nights. Epcot pretty much always closes at the same time, unless there is a EMH night, so it will not change, but the other 3 parks may all start to close earlier, it is just what they do for the period after easter and before the summer hours begin.

Oh, i just came across this post And am very excited.. It doesn't sound tooooo bad. We were planning on going May 2009, but the more I think about it, I don't want to take my kids out of school for a week. so I believe this is the week we will be there too. April 19-26

Seeing how a few people that replied have been there at this time, what is the weather like? I hope it's beautiful

The weather is wonderful. Usually in the low 80's during the day. Over the last 4 trips we have made there in April, I think I remember 2 days with rain. The rest has been wonderfully warm, just what we are looking for since even in April it is not very warm here.

Yep same week as Maine and Mass. A lot of people will start heading down on the 17th or 18th.
