Me, Three Kids - 2 DD's and a DS, Granny and Uncle Philip.
This was a total surprise trip for the kids and they didnt know they were going until they came home from school I had planned on getting a Minnie balloon and attaching it to a box with an invitation in it but I trailed the town and couldnt get one so we had to make do with Princesses instead. I went to work as usual in the morning and then out for lunch with a colleague so I only came home about 1.30pm and still needed to do our packing (we were leaving at 3.15!). DH had picked Lucy up from school and had collected Adam from the childminders and they then picked Anna up from school and brought them home so they suspected something. I had managed to get the packing done and had left their hand luggage bags in the living room along with clothes for them to put on and the balloon and box with the invitation . I think they were totally stunned they didnt have a lot of time to think about it as they needed to get changed and out to the car.
It is about an hours drive to the airport and they were rather subdued on the way there we got checked in without any problems and as my mum and brother still hadnt arrived we went on through security so we could have something to eat. I had been texting my brother so knew they were checked in but he appeared through security without my mother she had been detained by security and taken off to an interview room as she wears a silver bracelet which wont come of - they wouldnt let my brother wait there for her & had sent him on. Eventually she appeared and we all had something to eat and then headed of to departures, at this stage the kids still didnt know that Granny and Uncle Philip were coming with us they thought that they were going to see my other brother in Barcelona but before long our flight was called and Granny asked should they come with us of course the kids said yes! Soon we were making our way onto the plane I boarded in the first group after speedy boarding and was able to grab two rows of seats for us all the girls elected to sit with granny and Adam sat between me and Philip. We had a pretty uneventful flight and managed to land in Paris about 20 minutes early it was a lovely night and we were able to see the Eiffel Tower all lit up as we descended. Our baggage took a while to come through and we went out to find John from Ezyshuttle waiting for us. We were out and away to Disney in no time at all. We got to Sequoia Lodge and checked in I had emailed requesting connecting rooms on a high floor (last time we were on the lower floor and the room was very dark due to the foliage outside) and we were given these on the 7th Floor the kids thought that it was great that they could run from room to room and being able to access two bathrooms was good as well. I managed to get them all into pjs and to bed quite easily and I wasnt long behind them.
