Remember: you are renting *from the owner*, not *from Wyndham*. So, what this really means is that your rental is fully non-refundable. So you would be well-served to get trip-insurance if there is a genuine possibility you will not be able to go. Shop carefully, because some policies have windows in which you have to buy, else some pre-existing conditions will not be covered. Also, hopefully you have a contract that specifies the rental is non-refundable; that will be helpful in case you need to make a claim to document the loss for your carrier.He said that when he puts it in my name, then basically he would be taken out of the equation. Oh well, I will see what happens this trip and then decide if I will want to gamble like that again.
