The WDW 'WHY?!?!?' Thread

WHY would you not do any research beforehand? One example: the people who complain about CSR have usually stayed in the Ranchos, aka the section furthest from the main building. But I almost never see people say they made any room requests! It's one thing to make a request and not get it, but who doesn't look at a map ahead of time and tell reservations, hey, can you put a note in there that I'd like to be anywhere BUT that section?

That's so funny. When we stayed at CSR we REQUESTED the Ranchos (after doing our research) and loved it! The theming is unique and it's so beautiful and very peaceful. It really gave us the feeling we wanted for our vacation :)

Why can't you pay off your balance online?

This seriously baffles me.
Last year, I used that workaround of finding the old site but now that it's not available idk how I'll pay my balance lol

Wait, you can't?? I just paid off my balance last week online :confused3

WHY didn't Disney have a spy employee working at Universal years ago who could give them half a clue they would be waaaaay behind in amazement once all this Harry Potter magic got in place and then follow up on that spy info by spending the GAZILLION dollars on more magic instead of rubber bracelets?!? ::yes::

Ok, I'm back. As for using a FP+ at 9:00am for something that isn't 7DMT or A&E, I get the 'I have to leave for a flight at 9:30am' excuse. Other than that.........

No, ignorance and unfamiliarity with the system is not an excuse. You are paying a fortune for your vacation people, learn how to use the system!!! Heck, even if a 9am FP+ is all you could get online, it doesn't mean you have to use it at 9am. Use it at 10:00, change the time, change the experience. Do something other than waste a precious FP+ at 9am!

Ok, so for those who are intent on using their 3 as quickly as possible.......there is still no reason to use it at 9am. Your second can't be until 10:00 at the earliest......so ride something else with no line and use your FP+ at 10:00, and actually save yourself some line waiting!

So, to recap, have to leave for flight at 9:30 ok, otherwise I still gotta ask.......WHY!

Here's another WHY?!?!? The big ugly hat in DHS that completely ruined the look of MGM Studios?!?? Ok, they lost the affiliation with MGM, and even IMF they didn't want the Theatre to be the focal point.........WHY a big ugly hat with cheap trinkets?

I hesitate....but....you do understand that if you move your first FP later, then you will have to move your second and third FP to later...

So if you are trying to burn three FP as quickly as possible, you have to start doing it as early as possible. (9:00-10:00, 10:00-11:00, and 11:00-12:00 finishes earlier than 10:00-11:00, 11:00-12:00, and 12:00-1:00).

If you are trying to burn early FP, you've probably accepted that you aren't maximizing their value as time savers - and have a strategy that incorporates that.

I can understand doing this in Epcot and DHS b/c of tiers. For example, I hope my Epcot day can go something like this: arrive around 8:20 to be one of the first thru turnstyles. Head to TT, then to soarin' for a 9-10fp, then ride living with the land, then head to nemo and turtle talk where I have FPs for 10-11 and 11-12. Plan is that once I use my first fp, I can move up the time on the 2nd. Then use 2nd and move up time on 3rd. Hopefully getting a 4th FP (2nd ride on soarin') for later in the day around 10:30 or so. By using them early in Epcot, I can hopefully get another one for Soarin'. I honestly don't know if this will work b/c I don't know when they runnout. But I feel my chances are better at 10:30/11 than they are at 1

And I would say that at Epcot and HS the lines do build quickly. There was a post yesterday about someone waiting in line for an hour at 9:15 to ride RnRC. I would say it's quite useful there.

I would absolutely stay at the Ranchos...if I weren't so obsessed with the Casitas! ;)
