The Cast
Me: 40 y/o, mother of three, RN, lover of the mouse house, and all things Disney.
MeMe: 61y/o, my mother, adoption specialist, not sure if she really loves WDW, but if her grandbabies are gonna be in Florida she will be there.
Ninnie: 19y/o, the child who started the yearly trips 14 years ago, college student, decided at the last minute that I owed her three trips since she thought she was to cool to go back when she lived at home.
Big D: 8y/o, asked his 2nd grade teacher to join us since she didn't get to go last year, professional map reader, terrified of the HM.
Little D: 7y/o, ready for anything as long as his brother is afraid of it, makes sure to let his older brother know he rode it, tends to wander off if not watched.
We leave April 30 out of Kansas City with a stop in St. Louis, then fly into Tampa. We will take the shuttle to a Hampton Inn for the night. My daughter works for Hampton Inn and we got a great rate on two rooms. MeMe and her husband will meet us there. He will fly out in the morning, and we plan to spend the day at the beach, either Clearwater or St. Pete. Afternoon we will load up, and head to WDW.
We got a great Florida discount rate at POFQ. This will be our second time there. I had wanted to stay at WL this year, the boys wanted sports again, so we compromised. And before I get flamed for having to many people in a room, we lived in Florida for many years, and my daughter has a girlfriend who now lives in Orlando, she will be taking MEMe's car and meeting us at the hotel every morning.
Now I know most people will think we are crazy, but we have been to WDW so many times over the years, that we really have no plans for this trip. This will be our first time for an extended trip in May, so we are not really sure what the crowds will be like, we have no PS for any meals, plan to avoid the EMH park, for that day, plan on one day at Sea World, one day at Coco Beach. We have 5 day hoppers, with 3 plus passes from last years hoppers, MeMe has a seasonal pass for Florida residents. Everything is payed for, I have 2000.00 for food and stuff, should be an interesting time. Stay tuned to see if you can really do WDW with no PS's or major planning, and still have fun.
