The WDW Outlets

The WDW outlets are awesome, thanks to this WEBSITE we visited the outlets for the first time. Anyone who says they only carry old merchandise is completely wrong. We found alot of current park merchandise from clothing to toys at 50% off in the outlets. The same merchandise we say in the parks at full price. Granted you will also find old merchandise but in no way is it true that they only have old merchandise.

I totally agree. We make it a habit to stop at the outlets first. I can usually get at least one shirt for each of us and various other things. Spening $50 at the outlet for 3 shirts plus other little stuff is a lot better than $50 on one shirt.

I wish they had some DVC stuff at the outlets too, but they don't. If anyone has seen DVC merchandise at an outlet, please let me know.

For the most part, we don't even step foot in the souvenir shops in the park. As long as DD2 gets a balloon and DD10 gets a hair wrap, they're happy. We usually take one evening when we grab a quick and easy dinner and then hit the outlet for our take home goodies. I don't like to waste a lot of time or money in the stores inside the parks.

We go to Belz Factory Outlet (407-345-5285). There are two stores there that we go to. The Character Warehouse has Disney items and The Character Premier has stuff from Universal Studios. Go to wdwig.com for driving directions. If you have your own vehicle and you're also trying to keep a reasonable budget, it is well worth the drive. Happy shopping!

I also recommend Belz Outlets for the largest variety! It's well worth the trip!

First thing - you need a car or a cab.

Both outlets right off I-4 they are not on Disney property. One about 1.5 miles from disney the second about 7.5 miles from Disney.

Premium Outlets on the Sea World end of I drive are great. If you are a AAA memeber they will give you a booklet with extra discounts not available to the general public. Go to info desk in food court.

Just a word of warning - we shopped at the outlet malls for t-shirts and other clothing. Turns out a lot of it was "irregular". I didn't worry about that too much but when we got home a lot of it was unwearable. The collars too small, a sleeve cut on the bias, etc. Be sure and check to see if it is "irregular" or a "second".

You also can find a lot of nice things that are just out of season, which did not bother me at all...On our last summer trip we found great sweatshirts for $5 at the Universal Outlet Store, which I was happy to put away for fall wear. In November last year we found good t-shirts for summer wear, so it is like any clearance sale...

Beware though as someone said of seconds..We bought nice steel coffee mugs for $5, thought them a great fine..but when we got home and used them the paint all half came off then even with just sink washing...

The Disney Outlets and the Universal Outlet are all great, well worth the trip, I highly recommend them if you have down day there and transport out to the Belz outlets.

This is our first time driving down so maybe we will hit the mall on the way out of town to come home.

And I will watch for the seconds/irregulars. That would really upset me if I thought I was getting something and got all the way home and there was nothing I could do about it LOL.

Worst case senario - save your receipts!!!! No matter what! If anything is irregular (first I heard of this - than again DS clothing doesn't fit at times either) or breaks you can return the item to any Disney Store for a refund. We did have to return one toy that broke after 5 minutes of use.
