The way my kids are doing their autographs

Hi,

I wanted to share my find....

I love scrapbooking and have been planning on making my kids scrapbooks from their perspective for our trip in June.

Paper in traditional autograph books seem rather flimsy and easy to rip. So I decided to go the notecard route - since I planned on cutting the paper out anyway and putting it into the scrapbook. Why pay that much money for an autograph book I am just going to tear up when I get home. I will use the Creative Memories Disney 7X7 for their albums.

Yesterday in OfficeMax I found the perfect solution. 4X6 notecard on a spiral binding with a plastic cover. Each hold 50 cards. They come in colors. So I could get a different one for each child. The cost under $2 each. The card are perferarated (sp?) too! I even found some "fat" pens on clearance for $2.

I"m getting so excited!

Great ideas and they sound similar to what I did a few years back (for myself - is there an age limit for "kids"?). I bought a cheap 4 x 6 sleeve style album and then went to a card store and bought 4 x 6" size flat invitations, some of which had a decorative border, for around .15 - .25 each. They looked nicer and yes, the card stock weight, really helped.

Hope you have a great vacation!! :teeth:

Last year I took my CM 7X7 album with us on our trip with CM round tip pens. I have the characters sign on one side and left the other side for pictures. It turned out cute!

(I took extra set of pages and switched them out when it was full. Also I took a ziploc bag to keep away any rain.)

I love all of these ideas! For my kids' first trip, I cut 7 x 7 card stock papers in various colors. I intended to pick the color I wanted for each character. I even cut cardboard so the character could lean on it. I wish I could tell how that all worked out. Neither of my children had any interest at all in meeting the characters, let alone getting signatures. The only one we got that trip was Buzz and I waited on line to get it! It took them 2 more trips before we got any autographs and by then I had given up. We actually purchased autograph books! I plan on putting the little pictures from my proof sheet on the same page as the autograph. :)
