The Wave...?

We had dinner there last trip and really enjoyed it. Definitely better than any place at MK and they serve alcohol (if you want a drink). The food was solid and the service fine. We sat at the bar because we walked up on a Saturday around 5 and didn't want to wait 45 minutes for a table.

Every meal I've had there was good and they have a pretty good craft beer list if that is your thing. I have stopped eating in the MK and always head out to one of the monorail resorts or WL for my big meal on MK day.

Yes, especially if on the dining plan. (so you can choose the higher cost entree's without burning a hole in your wallet) The theming is pretty low key, but very nice.

LOVE the beef tenderloin there. Best steak I've had on property at any non-signature restaurant. (close second was the charred strip steak at the GF café).

Plus, it's always fun to take the monorail from MK to the Contemporary (or any monorail resort for that matter)

Probably the restaurant I feel is the most underrated. Doesn't ever seem busy but have loved every time I've eaten there.

We ate there for lunch when we stayed at CR in April. It was good and had a nice selection but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there.

We have eaten there both trips and both times it has been excellent. It is a place we will eat every trip, for sure.

I agree that it is very good. Best meal we had. We did not eat at any signature restaurants so I can't compare to those.

Reminds me a bit of Captain's Grille in that it isn't particularly "interesting" and doesn't have much theming but is pretty solid from a food perspective.

Two best steaks I've had on property have come from there. So - I like the place! IMO - its a bit of a hidden gem. I've had awesome service, great food, and found it to be quiet. There's no significant "theming" and it has no windows, but it has tasteful decor and sits a bit "between" signature and casual table service.

YMMV, but I actually think the sustainable fish dish they do is probably the best non-signature fish dish on property. I mean, I know that's a weird qualification, but it's quite nice. On the other side, their burger is great, their cobb salad may not be the Brown Derby's but I always found it pretty awesome, and their appetizer fish tacos are also quite yummy.

I also really enjoy their breakfast: there's a buffet if you like that, too, with some interesting stuff (like their sweet potato pancakes), but I prefer ala cart. They're also probably one of my favorite lunch spots, and the spot I almost always eat lunch at on MK days. Personally, they're one of my favorite non-signature restaurants, and definitely my favorite one in the Mk area.

We have eaten all 3 meals there and all really good. Sort of flies under the radar IMO.

The best bar on the monorail circuit, and one of only two open during the daytime.

My wife's favorite. Excellent food, but the portions are a little small for me. I need apps and desert, which makes it expensive.

Yay, I am glad to hear this! We were trying to find a Christmas Eve dinner place and it had space for 6 but couldn't really find much information on it. We didn't want to get too far away from MK. So fingers crossed. Husband and youngest are carnivores, oldest and I are light eaters, and my sister/her wife just go with the flow lol.

We enjoy The Wave. As others have said it is underrated. the food is great as are the drinks. No real View, just unique décor, is harshest criticism I can think of. Another Monorail restaurant that we find very enjoyable, yet underrated, is Citrico's at the GF. They have a nice variety and should be able to accommodate your group size too. Both have very fresh offerings.

I agree with PP that it is a solid alternative to any MK restaurant. I also sat in the bar and really enjoyed it versus the dining room.

Great place to check out after MK! I always have to eat at CL and this place is great. Quiet, low key, and like prior posters said; very good steaks.

Service is attentive. They also give you straws made out of paper vs plastic since it's an 'organic' place.
